Steep is a much more meditative experience for me where I will listen to chill out tunes. Whereas Riders is more of an insane let's Go game listening to Anthrax Antisocial. I love them both.

They're two different games, that's why. Riders Republic is an arcade game more than anything else, it's designed to appeal to the user, rather than to focus on such little matters such as being realistic. There's lots and lots of sports, but all quality is left out the window. Riders Republic isn't a polished game, more so a hodgepodge of many different things that really don't make sense in regards to the environment (snow on grass and snow ending before a canyon) and events (the red bull rampage). Steep, while their sports are akin to a few people who may like snowboarding, skiing, and aerial sports, I'd think is more calming because of the beauty and quality of the lighting and also the realistic feel of it. And even if you decide to take it up a notch and do some extreme and/or dangerous sports, even still it's a calming game.

I would say that steep is better, but you cant really compare them as steep focuses on skiing. That's like comparing riders republic to skate 3.

Snow sports are def better in steep, they are kinda have more realistic feel than rr. And i love how vertically big maps are. You can ride from a mountain for 10-15 minutes in steep against 2-3 minutes in rr. But wingsuit is more fun in rr

@@Rilmarjay8jNif you want truly realistic I would check out shredders by 540indy. It only has snowboarding, a much smaller map and worse graphics however it is much more realistic in terms of physics and has a larger focus on terrain parks.

As a Steep Veteran i miss the story Missions where you just ride from point a to point b while having an amazing view and a mountain talking to you, thoose where amazing experiences, also i think in terms of winter sports Steep is better and more dedicated, but Riders Republic has more sports and ways to use them so i play that over steep

Riders Republic is a jack of all trades, Steep is a master at what it does.

Steep skiing feels steezy af and flows. Riders Republic feels more rigid. Looks better, and has more sports. But when comparing just the skiing - Steep takes the cake.

It really depends, and it also isn't much of a fair comparison as RR has many sports, while Steep has a main focus. But then again, because RR has so many sports it's hard to find a single game to really compare it with. Also, if you're on PC (idk about console), your key sell sites will have Steep nowadays for literally €5-€7,- so if you want to try it, just think about the game costing less than your lunch.

I played an hour of Steep and got bored. I have 200 hours on Riders and while it has gotten stale at this point and I only log in on Wednesdays to see if the weekly challenges are worth it, I would say Riders is a better game because of the diverse gameplay options. However, if someone preferes skis/snowboarding over anything else then Steep is a better option for them

You can't compare these games, sure RR makes a lot of fun, diversity of sports is great, looks good and is satisfing to play, but when it comes to winter sports, really guy's, steep hits different!

Your basically comparing two differently things, while riders republic have many different content, it doesn’t seem realistic. I never played the game but from this, i think it isn’t as realistic. Now steep, yes it doesn’t have many sports, it feel more realistic (i play it) and it feels more free. It feels more beautiful playing the game and the scenery just fits with the mountains. These two games are different in many ways but are similar also.

Steep is actually pretty boring. It's one of those games where it's most enjoyable to those who like the sport or snowboard. I love it cause I love the sport but it is boring from an average gamer standpoint

The only time you're gonna get some serious hours in a game like Steep is if you're really into the sports that they portray, and/or if you're the type of person who can just set a goal of doing (x) run, stunt, path etc and have that be enough to keep you occupied for hours.

lot of the coverage on shredders makes it seem super boring like you can’t do insane tricks, but you def can and it’s way more rewarding than the arcade/canned animations in the ubisoft games

I played both and couldn't get through riders republic. Yeah it has more stuff but its quantity over quality here. Riders republic events are awful. They somehow messed up putting redbull rampage in a game that track is so boring. Not to mention its pretty clunky compared to steep.
