I completely agree. After rewatching part 5 and 6 last night it did hit me that Stu could be Taras father. If Scream 5 mirrored part 1 and part 6 mirrored part 2 it would make sense that part 7 would mirror part 3. The big reveal of course being that Stu is alive and behind the "cult" thing and that Christina is also involved.

I had the theory that Tara could be Stu's daughter since Scream 5. Now we know Christina Carpenter has a thing for serial killers. Think about it she slept with Billy behind the scenes when he was dating Sidney or in the shadows. Tara was 8 when Carpenter left the family and Sam was 13. It would make total sense that Christina Carpenter slept with Stu in order for his legacy to live on. I believed all along Tara could be Stu's daughter because Christina Carpenter wanted to keep the legacy of both serial killers alive by having their offspring not knowing what it would do to her daughter's. I think Christina could be apart of the ghostface cult all along cause like Billy and Stu she loved horror movies and she hung out with them all the time. I believe Christina was the girl in the blue skirt with the white bluish top and dark curly brown hair sitting next to he blonde in the pink overalls while watching Halloween at Stu's house. If you notice when randy gets the call about Himbry everyone leaves but the girl in the blue skirt. I believe she stayed behind and hid in the basement to keep an eye on Neil Prescott.

Maybe she stayed behind and told Billy before the final showdown that she was pregnant while we were lead to believe he was dead and while Stu chased Sidney around his property. She reminds Billy she's going to the basement to check on Neil Prescott and leaves to hide in the basement she could've said she went to the bathroom or something like that when the other partiers left the scene to check out Himbry

I like this theory but it's obvious that Tara and Amber weren't involved in the canon version lol. But I think the twist in the end that Tara is actually Stu's daughter which can only mean that Stu Macher did live past the 1996 killings would be such a big mind fuck and amazing. Though I love Tara's the only member of The Core Four that isn't related to a legacy character. Her ending up being related to another legacy character would be such a huge thing. I think some things you mentioned is abit of a stretch considering Tara and Sam are sisters and would never kill each other. But the theory that Tara is Stu's daughter is definitely an interesting topic to discuss minus some of the wild theories you mentioned. But it's all up to the direction they want to go with the story moving forward. Tara's already a huge character and a fan favorite. But her being in a major role like this would be mind blowing.

Side note: MACHER means an ‘influential person’ (like a cult leader) and the name KIRBY means ‘a settlement by a church’ and REED used to mean ‘Red’. So basically Kirby Reed can translate to ‘Church of Blood’.

If Scream 7 has connections to Scream 3, just like 6 had connections to 2 and 5 had connections to 1. Then Stu could be the killer. We all remember that the motive or overall the killers are similliar. In 3 there was Roman who was Sidney's half brother and he was the mastermind. Meaning someone will be the mastermind in 7 and he might be related to someone. We know that Sam is related to Billy. That leaves Tara. The Carpenter sisters being related to the original killers makes sense from a story perspective. So Stu is Tara's half brother/father. And she finds out the same way Sidney did.

You would think this whole thing would be concerning Billy around Sam’s story… but this whole thing might take the spin and reciprocate it once more pointing at the other side, which is Stu. If questions are popping up even in the scene of Scream 5 of Stu possibly alive… I’m now from this video seeing how he may possibly be still alive. This would make both Tara and Sam daughters of the first two serial killers…. Half sisters… and where Billy and Stu would’ve ultimately ended in rivalry, Tara and Sam will likely end up being a sibling rivalry… and Tara will have become like Sidney was in Scream 3; very formidable fighting ghostface.. this could be a brutal sibling match just like how Sidney and Roman were in Scream 3; except it would be Tara vs Sam. I’ve grown to really like Sam and Tara through… sort of hoping it’s another half sibling that Christina may have had besides Sam or Tara…. Or revealing a child that Sidney had in the year after 1996 and before she went to Windsor College; which that child would be a half sibling to Sam only and almost her age. We’ll see… but Scream 7 will be a big surprise I already know… because Scream 3 was a good reveal.

This theory definitely is a way to tie up all loose ends. I’d love to see Stu come back, but I think it will be really hard to accomplish it. Here’s why: 1.) A scream movie has always been a “whodunnit” film series 2.) What we love about STU is that we get to see him be funny all through the entire Scream 1 film To bring Stu back we either KNOW IT’s HIM as the 😱 and lose the whodunnit aspect OR We are limited to only seeing him revealed at the end of film and don’t get to enjoy his humor all through the movie like we did in S1 🤔 The challenge: how do you bring STU back without ruining whodunnit mystery and NOT limited STU to only the last 20-30 minutes of the film??? Maybe Roger’s voice isn’t the normal GH voice and it’s just STU’s voice with comical psychotic things to say? How would YOI do it - without breaking the “1” and “2” I mentioned above? I’m genuinely interested and curious. ✌️

The other way, which they have started to get away from, is an old theory of ours. Sam officially Snaps (making all the psycho references play out), Billy is often control & she confronts Stu at the end. We get an onscreen reunion of Billy & Stu. Stu is thrown off by Sam. How does she know the things Billy would only know. Sam kills Stu....& Sam then goes for Sidney in 8. Here, we have developed the ultimate ggostface in Sam, 1, who could make us wonder if Sidney could survive

Scream 5 was meant to be the 25th anniversary of the Woodsboro massacre in Scream 1. (placing it in 2021) however; Scream 6 retcons this, placing the events of Scream 5 in 2022 the year the film debuted.

I for one do not like the idea of Tara being a killer but it would be a big twist. Stu could definitely be her dad. But I would think they’d know who he looks like and he wouldn’t have stayed in woodsboro with Christina it would’ve been a hit and run… but it is suspicious amber left Tara alive. I just thought it was cause she still had a thing for her. But f that’s the case they wouldn’t have stabbed her so badly to begin with… the cult definitely could’ve gotten to Tara and made her mad at Sam and she went through all that just to get back at her… I could see her revealing herself in the end as Stu’s daughter saying your not the only one with a serial killer for a father. And Stu comes out wanting Sam to join him…. After all scream 7 would mirror scream 3 which revealed a huge player in the beginning which was her half brother Roman… could be that they reveal Tara, her half sister, helped orchestrate the whole Richie and amber thing or possibly Roman’s dad comes into play? Or possibly billy was playing around yet again and Sam has another half sibling out there? What ever it may be it will probably reveal something about scream 5&6 we know to be true, to be false… possibly Stu was there the whole time being a third and fourth player? There is no way Quin would’ve been able to throw gales bf like that. I’m sorry I can look over the height thing but not the way things happen in the scene like how the kills are done. Those things are planned and placed out… just like the red flannel in Danny’s hamper… why even place it like that? You can't call Stu a cult leader when he was the follower in the killing pair. He was actually very weak so if he needs to be a cult leader for this theory to work then it fails. The theory is fun but if they ended up making this part of #7 it would be at the bottom of my list of Scream movies. The only thing that made #3 fun was the cast (specifically Parker Posey) and this theory would be jumping the shark more so than #3 did.

Unfortunately both Sam and Tara actresses are out of Scream 7 so any family connection planned might have to be redone... I just want Stu to come back as the final Ghostface of the franchise as I think Scream 7 is being billed as the final one. Would tie in so well with Randy's horror movie rules. Matthew Lillard himself has said he would love to come back and it's realistic to think he's still alive.

Stu was 18 years old (according to the Scream fandom page) but even if he had been 16 years old he could have been sent to prison. I'm not sure what the youngest age has been that has been sent to prison but multi-kill murderers (not necessarily considered serial killer as Stu would have been considered) that have extremely heinous crimes have gone to juvi-detainment and then moved to regular prison for life. "Adult" is not a magical number when it comes to sociopaths.

I actually thought that Amber and Tara might have had maybe an intimate friendship being Wes liked Tara and perhaps Amber killed him to take him out of the picture. And Amber was Ritchie’s gf but they seemed like a FWB so Ritchie would have been done as the third wheel. But what I don’t get is the town is familiar with Woodsboro, why would Tara not know she lived in Stu Marcher’s old house. In 1996, there was the school, Casey Becker’s and Stu’s house where the major crime scenes took place, how is it they didn’t know. But just like how they brought up Stu’s parents being wealthy and probably able to rewrite history sort of speak, what if they just erased all the parts that invoked Stu thus making Billy the mastermind of the ‘96 killings. I think the person behind the GhostFace cult could either be Stu or Jill, we last see Jill bleeding out on HOSPITAL FLOOR it’s not that far fetched that the doctors can give her some life saving treatment right then and there, they have lots of medical supplies, she’s already admitted and medicated after receiving treatment from prior wounds and yes she was shot but this is the movies and just look at some of the punishment other characters have received and survived.

If Stu really was Mr Carpenter and if he was that mad about the discovery of Christina preferring Billy over him, he would have killed her there and then. If he was that unhinged, he would have taken it out on her first. Also, I’m pretty sure Ethan’s death with the TV in Scream 6 is a clear reference that they’re not going to bring Stu back. He’s dead. Well, so now about everybody of those (what? 15/16 year old) Kids from part 1 secretly had children? When did they start? Age 12? Wasn't believable that 4 movies later Billy was given a daughter and gets even more stupid when now more of them have children we never before heard of. What kind of town is Woodsboro? The town you better not let your kids go to school and make friends if you don't want to become very young grandparents? Or will we get Scream 0.5 one day? The prequel where the whole school attends a huge condom free orgy and half of the town gets pregnant? But they all keep it secret for 20 years and nobody ever wondered where all those babies came from? And how would it be possible anyway. If the 2 have the same mother but different dads and Tara is the younger one - how did her mother get pregnant from Stu after he had already died? Or did she have Billy's child at the age of let's say 12 and then Stu's child at the age of 14/15 whatever (before his death)?
