I think if she’s suing two different individuals, each should have a cap of 5,000 so she could get the 5,000 from the squatter, and another 1,000 for the screen door from the neighbor, making it a total judgement for her of 6,000 dollars

Are the people in the comments watching a different show?? It is super clear throughout every part of this show that he was never under an agreement with her AND he didn't pay rent! Judge Judy or Hot Bench, he is a squatter if he is not paying rent for 10 months.

STILL WRONG: I would have given her $5,000 a piece from BOTH defendants. If the defendant wants to sue the squatter for $4,000 back, he can do that. But plaintiff deserves $10,000. Wish the judges gave $5,000 to her and another 5 grand to her son.

I totally agree! I feel so bad for her. Unfortunately you can only sue for five grand per case it’s stupid honestly. Glad she got something back but still horrible because definitely should have gotten the full amount back.

True, I was in full agreement with judge Acker's take on it. The gentleman who wrongfully had the "tenant" signed the contact was totally overlooked! How is that possible. If it wasn't for him, this would have never happened.

The problem is this is a tv show and it needs conflict to be entertaining. In part 3 the end female judge was incredibly rude and the defendant appeared calm in trying to get his point across. He may be totally in the wrong but there is no need for the judges belligerence. This shows like Judge Judy meets Jerry Springer.

Let me block them I don't want to watch no more of there court shows. The woman refused to except any rent and she did not take proper steps to take him to court and demand rent or eviction. These judges even admitted that.....smh.....but what really get me it that face they are rude and disrespectful. They didn't want to hear nothing that rent had to say because their minds was made up when they read the complaints, texts ECT. Before the man even got in the court room. They were intentionally rude to both of them so it won't be obvious that they had already side with the landlord.

I think the angry judge has a problem with men. She didn't even bother to review the evidence, it's pretty clear the case was prejudged, she already knew how she would rule, and just wanted to treat a guy badly on TV.

And the judges have already reviewed the case and evidence they do not go into the case without information about the character of the plaintiff and defendant. You're projecting.
