As a new player that only started playing in June and plays with a Friday paddle, it's always fun to watch the guests they bring on to showcase their paddles, if not their skills. I feel lucky to have also found ThatPickleBallGuy on KZbin and have learned a great deal from his insight, humor and technical advice on how to enjoy my new found obsession (according to my wife). Both channels should be receiving props from the pickleball community. Oh yeah, Sting.

I caught myself getting too serious about the game this week, which was a great segue to watch this one. Kyle was resetting most of the game, a pattern that many good players use when rec playing with weaker players. You can make the game fun and interesting for everybody, without smashing at every opportunity. In any case, well placed, and even deceptive shots are just as difficult to return.

I “sting”ed a dude playing last week. He was almost at the back line trying to dodge my shot which would have been long. He came unglued that I was either trying to hit him or shouldn’t be playing if my control was so poor. I hope he sees this, and realizes that even intentional stings are survivable. Ha. Great video!
