The Clubman is an awesome car. I just got my new custom spec 2020 JCW and I'm lovin it.😎Yes it 'seems' overpriced for a MINI, but when you actually compare it to its primary competitors, the Clubman JCW offers a lot, even for high 40s. 300hp AWD with loads of features and tech, very accommodating interior space, unique hatchback-ish wagon design, and the ability to option it out with racing stripes and accented roof/mirrors in a color of your choice. It really carves out its own class and redefines what a pocket-rocket can be. Coming from an Audi S4 I never thought I would buy a MINI. It was never even on my radar because of the previous lack of power. But with the new beast of an engine, I bought in and don't regret it for a minute. Really enjoying the Clubman. Thanks for the great video review, Joe. Btw fun fact... I actually had spec'd out my Clubman and placed the deposit on the same day you posted this video! 🤙

Love this car! I have a used base model 2012 Cooper, but could use a bigger trunk, larger passenger room, and almost three times the horsepower. Strongly considering this for my next car. PS, the center LED ring mimics your RPMs, not sure if you noticed while you were driving.

You are so right... Needs a manual. I'm tired of car manufactures dropping manual. On the models where no one buys them like minivans I understand. But lately manufacturers have been dropping manuals on models that people want them on (e.g. Corvette C8, GT500)

My wife has a two door mini with close to 200bhp and this thing is so much fun to drive that I want one too. The only thing is that I do want 4wd and the clubman offers that and the 300 ponies... yeah baby, I want it! I was checking the ski today, but it seams I go the mini way... it has that appeal and scores high on the cool and fun factor, and has the practicality to it too... specially that most of us do not throw it side ways in corners...

I was looking at the Yaris rn, that has the fun factor but scores really low on the cool factor, and the cheap stickers on it, decrease the cool factor, not add to it... what a shame, mini excels with the cool colours and got just right the fun and the cool factors. I am no bmw fan at all, kind of bothers me the people the brand attracted, but the mini... a hole different story.

Joe didn’t realise the rear doors have an under rear fender sensor that opens the doors with a sweep of your feet to open the doors when your hands are full. 👍👍

Are you sure this one had EDC suspension? In Europe you can have it only when you order a car with a set of 18" wheels (19" wheels let you choose only so called "sport suspension" that is not adaptive but regular one).

In Thailand "Clubman" price more than 100,000$ (3.5-4 million baht) with manual seat and pop-up head-up display. I think it should be great car and many great option inculde that prices. (MiniClubman=BMW5series on price in thailand)

doesnt it have the same engine as the previous one? it can be tuned to over 300hp with little mods 15:45 the visibilty is not crossover great but its ok, i mostly have problems seeing stuff on the right side beacuse of the right a pillar but its ok 16:50 m/s is for manual / sport not manual shift

I own a 2018 5 door Cooper S. I would like to upgrade to a JCW but they do not make a JCW version of my car and I don't like how the clubman trunk opens......not sure what to do. I also want all wheel drive but I love the look and shape of my car more. Why can't they just make a 5 door JCW Cooper with all4? Bmw has xdrive on all their cars now so I don't understand.

I’d go for the Clubman if you want something similar to your 5 door feel wise. We were down at Mini test driving all the models. The 306bhp isn’t going to be in the 3 door except the new GP.

Actually, Manual/Sport mode is automatic until you trigger a gear change with the paddles. In sport automatic mode, it holds the gear longer for an up shift for better acceleration.
