A REQUEST: Thinking about renting BMW X3 from Thrifty car on a trip. Car rental companies are NOTORIOUS for not being very descriptive of what trims etc you get. Viewed from the sides, the rear overhang (from the rear tire to the rear end of the trunk) makes the entire body proportions look ugly. I don't know why LR didn't do something about it for decades. The current model of the RR Sports, for example, looks a lot better now that they corrected the ugly-looking rear overhang which in the past was also over-extended.
