A few corrections to your review. The engine is turbocharged and produces 455hp and 523 ft-lbs of torque. Also, the all electric range on the sticker is 36 miles, but I routinely get 40 miles in mine. This is my second XC90 having owned a 2017 XC90 T6 Polestar (that I loved), and this car is better, much better. I've now got almost 4900 miles on mine and have an overall average fuel economy of 36 mpg. Full charge on a 220 volt circuit takes under six hours.

Maaaaaaaan Volvo sure knows how to make a timeless design for their fleet!!! It's been around for a while now but still looks fresh!!! Reliability concerns aside, it's a beast!!! Interior is great, that powertrain is a headscratcher to say the least...They literally threw everything in there but a kitchen sink lol Awesome review Joe and Lori and Steven!!!

I heard Volvo brought the extended range version of XC90 recharge where they eliminated the supercharger and replaced that with electric boost feature. And they also employed a larger battery (not completely sure about that data). Though, it’s weird Volvo does not offer fog lamps on XC90 for US marker. They offer fog lamps at the bottom of the bumper of XC90 is most other markets.
@danielcorry41362 жыл бұрын
The fog lamps aren’t on the T8 recharge as apparently they use that space for some cooling ducts.
@joubaierjoubert77482 жыл бұрын
When it launched they did have cornering / fog lamps but one thing to know about Volvo is as their models age they simplify them we should see all the bells and whistles on the new model which is coming right around the corner

@@joubaierjoubert7748 : Yes, Volvo’s car are timeless and age very gracefully. But here’s the thing, Volvo still offers those fog lamps in some markets. At least, here in India, the 2022 Volvo XC90 comes with fog lamps that are otherwise not offered on the US spec.

I enjoy your reviews, Raiti. I think the engine in this Volvo is turbocharged and supercharged. I considered this vehicle but ultimately went with the BMW X5 45e because of the BMW having the awesome straight 6 versus Volvo 4 cylinder and the BMW is rated at 31 miles electric while the Volvo is only 20 miles and that makes a big difference to us in our use case. I think we would have enjoyed the Volvo, but I don't see how it would be as enjoyable as the X5 45e.

I buy this model only with diesel engine because it is safe and reliable and for my squawa not for myself. In our region happened a car excident an old Volvo smashed into the three on full speed (drunk teenagers), all the doors were jammed everyone was alive, the gasoline engine caught fire and they burned alive, around the drivers tried to put out but to no avail. Hence the moral: do not drink and drive and drive a diesel.
