Racing Green is what British cars use. I saw a couple of Aston Martins that had a kick ass green. Check out their color options, they probably have the most color choices from any car mfg. While it's not my favorite Color, for some cars it looks proper.. I'm actually not digging the black stripe. It looks kind of silly in the front. It should be just a straight black stripe vs what they have on this car.

Love the green color. The stripes do work well on the car. Never understood why ford did not put the brembos all around. From what I have seen of the dark horse. The dash of the mach1 is a lot better looking to me. Would have to have the tremic 6 speed. Wish they would put a larger spoiler on from the factory even without the handling package. Keep up the great work Joe.

Mine came out to $54k CAD, interest rates are very high at 7.99% but with my trade in it should be ok. I placed the order about a month and a half ago, and was then told it will be here 9 months

S550 > S650. The S550 has an unlocked ECU, and no Fully Networked Vehicle platform (you co-own the car with Ford at all times). Plus, the S650 has a Honda Accord front-end with a Camaro side-view. And the M1 is just 🔥.

I was able to get an up close look at the new 2024 GT and Dark Horse at Barrett Jackson Scottsdale back in January. I'm not super excited about the double ipad dash. I think the S550 platform with the digital screens imbedded in the gauge bays is much better looking. As a result, I'm going for the 2023 Mach 1...especially after watching this video. I hear ya man. I'll be sticking with my 19 GT PP1 with the 401a + Magneride + Active Exhaust. Velocity Blue with 32k miles. I'll be hanging onto it for sure. The interior just looks meh. Usually I always take into account things growing on you, but that interior has no personality IMHO. I prefer the current digital cluster in my 19 by far.

K.A. I did exactly the same thing. After seeing the 2024 Mustang interior and IPad-only dash and Infotainmennt screens: went out and immediately purchased a 2023 Mach1. I enjoy this Mach1 SO MUCH, I even look forward to my drive to work now. Ford engineers have "engineered the heck" out of this last-year of the S550. I bought a nonHP Mach1 at msrp of $61,850 with a $1,300 discount - so for barely over $60k I have the perfect car for me and I think the Dark Horses will be MSRP above 65k plus the first-year market adjustment of +$5,000 or more, yikes!

At 19:37 it completely owns that corner. This car is seriously underrated because everyone in the media initially wrote it off as a sticker and wheel package. Then, magazines started testing it on track and it’s true performace was revealed. The MACH 1 is the pinnacle of the 5.0L S550. 9 years in production with FORD tweaking every year culminating in this masterpiece. The S550 MACH 1 will go down as not just one of the best track Mustangs ever produced, but in its class, it will be heralded as a podium contender for years to come. Sad to see this S550 variant no longer in production. Ford crushing it again with this track monster

I like the green , it’s pretty cool, the yellow/orange is growing on me. I was going to get a Camaro SS but the Mustang is actually more comfortable and has better vision. I am concerned about how GM always cuts corners.

The SS1LE is an absolute tank on the track and it's still faster than the Mach 1 even though it has medicore rubber. I guess the other things are more subjective.

@@JH-rk9gd I guess I could have used a better word but I meant it in the best way. I bought my SS1LE used from a dealership owner who gets them in and races them for awhile before selling. Mine had over 13k of hard racing miles on it when I purchased. Other than the scratched up paint, the car never showed even an ounce of wear. I never got the slightest impression that the chassis or drivetrain couldn't handle what the car was able to give it. You can get the same 6spd in the Mustang, but the handling isnt there unless you pay around $70k. The Supra and 400z feel cheap in comparison to both the Camaro and Mustang.

Hi Joe, good video Brother!!! The Mach1 looks great in the eruption green. But it needs the handling package with larger tires/wheels and improved suspension. I pulled the trigger and ordered a Dark Horse with every option. It crushed me to get the 10- speed but we have two cars that are manual and the wife wanted the 10-speed. The car order was done on 6 April. Over 75K for the Dark Horse. It will be my daily driver here in the Washington DC traffic so the 10-Speed auto will be more comfortable in traffic. Already talking to Ford about their deal with Whipple for the 2024 model year Mustangs. My son owns a Ford dealership. He tells me to expect an 8-10 month wait for the car. I plan to remove the Treveo S tires and change the rims/nitto 555 325/30RZR20, 305/30R19 in the front. I attended a Ford seminar on the new S650 and I learned that Ford improved over 113 items over the S550. So this will be a significant improvement over the 6th generation Mustang. I modded my Manual and changed out the stock assist spring for a race inspired one from Steeda. It's lighter and you can feel the shift points much better. I'll never get an automatic. I never owned one and never will.

Hey Joe; love your Mustang Mach 1 videos, I wish you would do a test of the Mach 1 with the headlight bezels in and another with them removed and see if there is any difference in performance and/or mileage. I love that color. Had eruption green been available when I got my 21 mach 1, I may very well have gotten it. Also, had they not lost hp, I might have traded it in for eruption green....Joe, doesn't the automatic come with 3.55 gears and the manual gets 3.73? Did they change that for 23?.....also 63k for mach 1 without handling and appearance package, yea got mine for 60k and it has both. Tired of the markups.

Not everything in AWD is good. Especially with these muscle cars you've mentioned, the front axle (in the case of 4WD) won't do much justice and is expected to receive minimal power/torque. The WRX however has a very different AWD setup and emphasis, and that's another story......

This isn't really a comparison video. It's just you selling the MACH 1. You say that "we know how a 2024 Mustang will look" but then you go to showcase the MACH 1 which... For a person who wants to see a comparison, they already know how this one looks too. This should be a showcase instead of a comparison video as every mention of the 2024 Mustang is negative, you only mention it when you can show the MACH 1 being better / the same. I have a 2018 PP2. Which I like a lot. Only has 20k on the miles. I really don't like the 2024 interior. But I love the Mach 1 too. I have the showroom red leather interior. Digital Cluster. Really every option available I have.

By far the biggest mistake Ford made with the 2024 GT is the lack of the Tremec 3160. The Getrag MT82 was a mistake, Chinese crap part. The Tremec with a cueball shifter should have been an option, like Magnaride or the limited slip. Huge huge gaffe.

Found a brand new loaded 2023 Mach 1 non-handling-package 6-speed for 3k under sticker. Snatched that right up even though I ordered a dark horse already. Good chance I’ll pass on the dark horse. The Mach 1 is the better nameplate. Has physical buttons too :)

What the heck no Brembos on a 2023 Mach 1?!? My 07 Acura has Brembos... man that's messed up ford. That much power without 4 or 6 piston brakes is crazy.
