FIRST LOOK: The Silverado EV RST is here and Chevrolet is bringing their best. On the outside of the RST you will find 24in wheels, an e-trunk, folding mid-gate and tailgate. On the insider is a 13in infotainment system, panoramic glass roof and tons of passenger space. Powering the RST are (2) electric motors producing over 700HP! I believe these aren’t the base model though and that is why it’s more expensive. For example, some reviewers have the 4WT(work truck edition) as the model they have but that one is a higher end model. The base model is a 1WT. So I think this is the higher end rst model

I'm a Ford guy, but of the Big 3 EV trucks, this one is my favorite so far. It looks the best, and it easily holds three bananas. $100K is ridiculous, though.

Another excellent video Joe. Again, I'm liking Chevy's version of the EV truck. Looks very well thought out in design. But I get it, EV's are not for everyone. But this version with it's range and quick charging is more doable with most people. Just have to get that purchase price down....

This 'RST' model is, of course the top of the line with ALL the options, etc. So, it's priced way too high but, let's see how the "Work Truck" comes in with features and price. Pick-ups for a mere $17,000 nicely equipped are a thing of the past or so it seems as we go into the future with them, right? And let's see how the price holds up for used ones later on, if at all.

Chevy did a perfect job with the design of this truck. I like how it looks similar to a traditional Silverado but with enough distinguishing differences to make it stand out. It does kind of remind me of the Avalanche with the way the roof line swoops down to the bed. One thing I can appreciate about an EV truck is the frunk since storage is always the biggest issue with a pickup. I watched a video of the new ZR2 Bison before this video and even as someone who loves a big V8 I prefer the looks of this truck inside and out.

People really gave them hell for the limited production of earlier Ultium releases like the _Lyriq_ and *Hummer.* Now they’ve had some time to work out bugs, I think 2024 will be a huge year as far as production goes for *gm* to massively produce these vehicles.

It adds a lot of cost because the body is one piece instead of two, so it can't flex, which means more structure is needed. The flying buttresses are also really annoying if you are in your bed a lot.

I think EV's will help the restaurant industry big time. Because if you're on a road trip and need to charge for a half hour to 45 mins, just get off the freeway and find a sit down restaurant and charge up. You would do that anyway on a long road trip. Or you could charge at a walmart or Target and walk around the store for 15 or 20 mins and get a half charge that way. Better yet, shop around mom and pop stores and help out the old school brick and mortar retail joints and help that industry out. I can see the future but the infrastructure has a long way to go before these become the norm. Not to mention, get these vehicles around 40 to 50k and people might buy them.

This truck makes the Ford and RAM look like rebadged half assed jobs. This truck’s design alone justifies its price, when you consider the luxury and technology it offers above the others it’s a no brainer. For their first generation Silverado EV to obtain over 400 miles of range is super impressive! The mid gate and Multi-flex bed extender are genius together.

I have been buying Chevy 1500 WT trucks for 20 years, and using them successfully for our growing, property Rental business. The RST trim looks absolutely awesome!! Even for my small, but quickly growing business, that $100K price point is steep, for me. I look forward to other Chevy EV 1500 Truck Trims, maybe in 2025 or 2026, that are more in the $50,000 to $80,000 range. As always, your presentation is most excellent....keep up the great work!

Thank you for the video. It does look amazing, wish it was in a lower price point. Does the rear window come out? Where is it stored? With it being a 60/40 split it obviously doesn't go up and down. This was one of the negatives of the Avalanche (since most are comparing it to the Avalanche).
