The Santa Fe is totally redesigned and Hyundai has an off-road trim. On the outside you will find an all new color, 18in wheels and off-road tires. Totally agree it is not an offroad SUV but I will say its a good (bang for the buck) SUV that is good sized with lots of interior room and looks nice for its price. Not many 3 row SUV's for around $45k out there. Thankyou Joe and Steven, great job on the review as always !

I have the same engine and transmission in my 3 year old Hyundai. It shifts extremely smoothly. I haven’t had an issue yet but I am going to add an extended warranty.

Turn signals so low is really annoying. Not only are they harder to see, it's easy to block them as soon as you want to carry anything behind the vehicle like a bike rack.

The turn signal is actually in the H lights in the back. It's splits when the hatch is open for regulations.

I like the front end of the new Santa Fe , but don't like the rear , the tail lights are way to low , especially the turn signals. Also the rear lights look like dog bones when the brakes are applied. I know there suppose to look like the letter "H" like the front lights , but there lower and wider whick make them look more like a dogs bone.

That is an abomination to the world of vehicular design. I saw one in the metal today. I was repulsed by its design. Its an overpriced box with wheels. This is as bad as the "Homer" from the Simpson's. As powerful as a gorilla? Nope. As graceful as ballerina? Nay. What the H E double hockey sticks is Hyundai doing? The Elantra looks like an origami in metal. I'll take a gorgeous Mazda CX 70 please!

It is a sharp looking SUV many will buy just because it will make easy work of the deep puddles in the parking lot with poor drainage at the super market. Online grocery shoppers who order 500 dollars of stuff from Walmart then sit in their car while the stupid kid loads all their garbage up in a torrential downpour. Hyundai and Kia are like a box of chocolates. You never know what you are going to get. Thats all I have to say about that.
