Merry Christmas guys!! I had a 2019 C43 that was fully loaded at $65K. It was such an awesome car, the fact this is $12K more with less of an engine is such a crime. You can get a BMW M340i with more power and cylinders for $10K less. What is Benz doing….

The engine builders do not all have a masters degree - they have a „Meister“ degree. That translates to master but is not earned at a college. You have to be trained 3 years to get your „Geselle“ degree, then you have to work for 5 years in your craft, then you start your Meister degree school (that will take additional two years) and then, if you manage to get the degree, you are a master craftsman. All the engine builders at AMG are Meister. Merry Christmas

M340, S4/S5, G70 better choices. All 6 cylinders. The 4 banger works so much harder and doesn’t sound genuine for this kind of money. Overpriced by 5-10 grand depending on spec.

Joe - I'll keep my 2017 C43 with the V6. Turbo-lag is non existent and I'm sure it's smoother than that 4-banger. Oh, and it weights 300 pounds less. Go figure.......

I totally agree! I have a '17 AMG C43 also...tuned with intakes and cat back exhaust setup. The car is surprisingly fast for a sedan and sounds amazing! Not a big fan of the new model for sure. But awesome review as usual nonetheless Joe!

Hello Joe, I have seen your reviews in many years now and I really love your videos, since you do it in very effecient way by covring the design, the eninge, the practicality and the driving part. But after seeing more than 100 of your videos, I would like to express two constructive feedbacks, and I hope you take it in a good way. The first one, for the driving part, could you please drive the cars more as normal people do? You don't always need to drive the car like Lewis Hamilton! :) Of course some of your fans might be intrested of racing, but I can bet that most of your viewers are drive cars as normal people do in their daily lives. What I would recommend is that you put more focus to drive the cars in both streets and highways, and talk more about the handling, the suspension, the engine performance, the gearbox, the noise insulatioan, the quality of the speekers and infotaintment system etc. The second one, what I have not really understood in all these years is that you always "zunk" the design features becasue of non-functionality! All the car designers in the world cannot be wrong to have some small touches of design on the front end or rear end to make the cars more attractive, even if the functionality does't always follow. And I believe most of people have nothing against that. I am always surprised how you diss the elegant design touches for lack of functionality that actually no one care, as long as the cars are looking good and performing good.

These start at $62,500, $5k less than a CLE450 so probably depends how you option these before you are in CLE or E-class money with 6 cylinders. The C43 is up to 416 hp for 2025 but you do wonder about the reliability of that when the 6 cylinder with the same electric turbo makes 443 hp.

Hey Joe. Just a thought for 2025 . Have you considered reviewing some older iconic sporty type cars? (Eg. Older Civic SI/Acura Integra, Prelude, Celica GTS, Mitsubishi eclipse/Eagle talon turbos, Ford Probe GT/Mazda 626). That’s assuming you can find them in decent condition where someone has taken care of them.

For sure! Mercedes makes a bunch of awesome models. Like the A-Class for a compact luxury vibe, or the G-Class if you're into that rugged look. They also have the S-Class, which is all about luxury and tech.

I miss Florida. The wheels are kinda funky. I love the 20inch. Sound is okay but could be better . Fake puddle light in rear. Don’t like the chrome. Dash cam is awesome is daytime. No rear cam. Opt in for the burmester better than the stock.

I would like to know why no one ever talks about what a huge failure the most recent C43 was. I purchased one and MB had to buy it back it was so bad. The engine in that car had horrible manufacturing defects (all over the world) and it all seems to have been swept under the carpet. I ended up with an M440i which is better on every measurement (including quality) and it cost slightly less too!

Joe, they are not functional quad tip exhaust. When I test drove a 2023, you have to look in the center of the exhausts. It’s a dual exhaust system with the quad tips being on the body of the car. It’s fake.

@@RaitisRides I have yet to see a I4 compete with an I6 in terms of sound and overall feel. An I6 just feels better to drive. Sometimes there will be surprises you say. Like what ? I am not even talking about power. The number of cylinders fundamentally changes the harmonics and vibrations in an engine. This just cant be fixed its a fundamental disadvantage.

No it isn't. Now if Mercedes wants this to change, they will turn this into a C53 I6 with 443hp like the CLE53. Then fix the C63 by adding putting the V8 back. This is the the most handsome C ever, it's gorgeous car on the road. Just has the wrong engines past the C300.

Outside of the engine, there are only subtle differences in the design between an AMG and an AMG sport. The one thing that really annoys is the rims design. I think it has to do with aerodynamics and gas mileage but AMG rims have been the worst in the industry for quite some time now.

The type of people who complain about a 4cyl…. Are they stuck in the 1990s?? Back when a 4cyl was found on entry level mainstream vehicles that cranked out 100hp. And what is it with “I wouldn’t pay $$$ for a 4cyl, I’d rather have a 6/8”?? Most of us who drive relatively expensive vehicles have other avenues in which we generate income and cars is not one of them so resale and depreciation mean 0 to us. We buy them because we like them and they are fun to drive today, we don’t want to wait until someone turns it in or trades one in after 3-4yrs. Btw if you’re one of those, have fun financing a car for 4+yrs on a vehicle that was 3-4yrs old when you got it. You’ll be done paying off the car on its 7th 8th 9th or possibly 10th bday.
