Is the 2025 Buick Enclave ST a BETTER midsize SUV than a Lexus TX 350?

Too soon to tell if these Buicks will be Home Runs but they are doing it right making them beautiful inside and outside and they are really loading up the tech with the large screen dash and infotainment and roomy interior that will hold a lot of passengers and still have good sized cargo room. Some 3 row crossover SUV's don't have enough room behind the last row of seats for groceries, let alone for luggage. Thank you for showing us these Buicks Joe and Steven, great job as always ! I totally agree that color should pop in bright sunlight !

Never had an issue with my Envision, besides the usual maintenance. 70,000 miles in. Some get lucky and some don’t. Drive it like an idiot and don’t take care of it…you’ll find lots of problems then with any vehicle.

What Buick are you talking about? I had 3 new Buick loaners, I had one as a rental - no issues. The only one with uncomfortable seats is Envista, but Encore GX already has decent seats. Envision seats are great, outgoing Enclave has great wide plush seats.

Absolutely amazing, interior is the best in class. Steering wheel is beautiful and elegant. New infotainment, floating center console with lots of knee room up front. Excellent new turbo engine is a cherry on top.

He's doing his job, which is to present the vehicle. With these preproduction models, it's especially appropriate to point out how the designers tried to improve on last year's offering. Joe doesn't tell viewers what to think, either. As far as how he gets to auto shows, he'd go whether the companies footed the bill or not. That's how much he loves cars. BTW if the car makers paid for his trip, that's Joe's good fortune. Just think about it.

Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade both ride horrible, I tested both and they ride like tin cans. Loose parts can be heard knocking in engine compartment on bumps, engines feel extremely underpowered, interior feels cheap with acid blue cluster lighting. The Enclave is a much more solid smooth refined ride, this new GM turbo is unmatched.

I've got a 20 year old Buick featuring the 3800 V6 that doesn't quit. Practically bulletproof. Leather seats, soft interior materials, great gas mileage. Metallic silver exterior that has held up well. Look up the 3800 V6 and you'll see what I'm talking about.

In terms of reliability rankings (both Consumer Reports and JD Power), Buick overall has an incredibly positive record that goes back two decades - like when the first gen LaCrosse outranked pretty much every other vehicle. That very car, an absolute zero issue 2005 CXS, was in the family until sold to a family friend in 2018 - and they're still driving it. Personally, we're on our 2nd Regal, a 2020 Avenir Sportback. No problems, so far. It replaced a 2014 which also had.... wait for it... zero problems. I mean, you can say a lot of things about Buick. Even I'll say it - they're far from perfect and have a recent history of missed opportunities. But if you're going in for a takedown on Buick, "reliability" is not your path.

This front now looks like the 2024 Envision, 2024 Encore GX, and the Envista. The previous lineup didn't really look so similar, and to me, it's becoming too cookie cutter, unfortunately 😕

These ST trims for buick is just lazy. If you're going to make a "sport" trim, it needs to be more than an appearance package! GM has plenty of engines to choose from to add something more powerful as an option on each of theirs vehicles. Plus, this trim doesn't have features people are going to want. I want the interior features and tech from the Avenir with the exterior trim of the ST. There needs to be a tech package for the ST that adds ventilated seats, digital rear mirror camera, and others that this is missing. Among other reasons, the fact I can't build it the way I want it, Buick is off my list. I used to like them. Not any more.

I bought my GM car with 14k discount and I ended up losing much less in depreciation than I would’ve lost buying a similar sized Lexus sedan. I also spend much less on service vs Lexus. My local GM dealer provides excellent service, much better than I had ever experienced with Honda and Acura dealers across multiple states.

joe, the black colored fender flares are a no for me! color matched only in a luxury vehicle, IMO. i think mazda cx90 buyers are more likely to cross-shop with this buick than lexus TX buyers. i’m no fan of the TX interior, but i would take no real wood trim and minimalistic styling if it meant getting lexus reliability, quality, and craftsmanship! we’ll have to wait and see how this buick performs in terms of reliability once it’s been released and long-term driven.
