If the Angels go into 2025 with Kikuchi as their "ace" I will sit the season out. Yeah there are too many holes to fill in one offseason but I remember what the Rangers did: When they were terrible a couple years ago, they spent big on the offense one year and then spent big on pitching the next and then boom they were a contender.

I won't be surprised if the Angels are done making moves, besides the occasional player they pick up on a minor league contract to fill in at the AAA level and occasionally to fill in on the bench when injuries occur. The trade today is an example of what the Angels will continue to do. At least it looks like a good pickup.

I have come to the conclusion that Perry is “aggressive” at the beginning of the offseason so he can have a longer break around Christmas.
