cool! question: in a larger pedalboard setup, whats the best place for the germanium boost. before or after the dirt section (in your opinion?)

Honestly it works well in either, depending on what you hope to accomplish. I like mine pre-drive usually, but would run it as a near-unity gain pedal and enjoy its slight compression and bloom it provides. If you boost into an overdrive , you'll get more gain but not much (if any) more volume. If you put it after your drives, you'll have the opportunity to either attenuate or boost the volume of your drive while keeping the saturation / tone in tact.

@@LittleBoxEffectsgreat! i also have a clean boost already before my drive pedal, so in my case perhaps it makes more sense to place the germanium boost after. thanks!

I was not satisfied with my direct bass sound. I saw this pedal on my guitar set up and thought “hmmm, maybe that’ll work “. Problem solved- bass doesn’t sound flat or boring, but still nice and straightforward. Just better.

Well... 200$ for one germanium transistor looks over priced.
