Is the BO6 Prestige Grind WORTH IT?? (Pros and Cons Explained)

Gang, I’m 46 and I still game, and I’m a prestige 3 in this game, but just remember, in a few years none of this sh!t will matter. If you are gonna waste 1000s of hours on something which is ultimately totally worthless, well….I wish I could go back in time and learn more useful skills like playing instruments or other languages rather than wasting my life on now dead games that seemed so important at the time.

I’m a Prestige 5 at level 45 and counting I ve leveled up my guns and the grind has been FUN! Once you get the prestige guns like the NukeTown gun, Warriors Blood, Reconciliation guns then you can dominate multiplayer matches and get kills way easier!! A Warriors Blood Assault rifle with ammo mod, a long range gun barrel, a 4.5 Hybrid scope that snipes people from far away then put away the scope to reveal iron sights to hit enemies up close and mid range this is a GAME CHANGER!!

@ you’re not funny! I get 20 to 25 kills easily with the KSV smg! Warriors Blood is invincible with a hybrid scope! I can kill you from a distance with the 4.5x scope and retract the scope to reveal iron sights and mow you down up close or mid range! Marksman rifles like Reconciliation has a 3 round burst that kills you fast, this gun literally kills you in 3 shots! I have more guns also this is just the beginning of what I can do!

Prestige used to mean something when the games were fun and didn’t feel like a chore like they do now. With the unnecessary amount of try hards and sweats in seemingly every lobby that are trying to get into content creation (🙄) make each game feel like the final match in a tournament or some shit.

Just so you all know, if you prestige master then you have to know that the prestige pop-up will come EVERY SINGLE TIME after you finish any game, whether it is a zombies or MP match

I’m close to lvl 190 in prestige master. Once I completed the prestige 10 and entered prestige master, I get a full screen message that tells me congratulations for completing prestige after each match I play in multiplayer. Fix this Activision

Why "grind". Just play the game and prestige organically. I didn't try to do it as a "grind", it just happens as you play.

My dude...why the small round mini map? if you use the square map (in your settings) you can see a lot more! also, if you use the forward intel perk it will enlarge it even more by 25%! you can literally see the entire nuketown map! Perk greed is probably the best first permanent unlock! imo

I’m 44 years old and I have been playing cod since I was 25 and my son who is 11 has been playing since he was around 6. My son and I don’t even care to play this game at all ! We used to play all the cods with my friends and grind so many hours and I used to buy packs for us all the time, now I won’t buy anything and he doesn’t want anything lol. We got to the first level 55 and said we are done ! I don’t care about the weak calling cards and other lil things you get for prestige and to me getting a new emblem by my name is nothing to brag on just for a video game. My boys want me to prestige like them and I told them for what ? I’m a regular 55 that’s still kicking higher level ranks tails so why should I ? Those little gifts aren’t crap. Not to mention the game is straight trash ! Till this day and since launch on BO6 whenever I decide to play, my weapons are bugged ! I can choose a certain blue print and set it up like I want and the game strips my weapon down ! Or gives me a completely different weapon that I didn’t even choose ! I bought 2 packs and tried to use the blueprints and the game let me uses them when it chooses I should use them ! Or sometimes in the middle of the game my weapon randomly changes into another basic blueprint !!? ? After that I said never again will I purchase anything or play as much ! Then most of the players now have messed up the game !!!!! Everyone wants to lay on the ground and in a corner ! Or crouching around the map and head glitching. People are actually scared to really play the game like they will die in real life ! Or like they are in a million dollar tournament playing for money ! I just don’t get it and see where the fun in this new playing style is !? Also the game is trying too hard to make the new or bad players good ! For instance they need to take that recon crap out the game ! How in the heck are you going to reward a player that has gotten killed by allowing them to see for a few secs where everyone is on the map in red ? Then depending on the map they know which area your running from towards them and they just lay on the ground and wait on you to come around the corner or hide or shoot through a house with all kinds of objects between y’all and walls etc and still kill you out of nowhere ! Smh ..A ton of these players and think they are good any they really aren’t ! They have too much help from the game to make you think your good along with your bad camping and crouching and laying down styles. Then the spawns or horrible ! You spawn in on top of a mine and blow up ! Or they spawn players in your back or spawn you straight in the line of gunfire. The game is trash ! The company and the people who play have made the game trash and have made long term players like myself and friends and even my son who grew up playing like us and knows how we feel say screw it ! This isn’t it ! Not this year ! To be honest I have had more fun playing Fortnite with my son and his friends than I have playing COD in a long time lol. At least if I buy a skin over there I can use it whenever I play game instead of my money being wasted and new game come out in a year and I can’t use it anymore! Myself and my friends have been trying new games and searching for new games to play because right now with BO6 the only time we play is just so that we can have a fully party every now and then when we are all off of work at the same time and just get in party chat and joke and have fun and catch up. We don’t even care about the game and take it serious and try anymore. It’s about having fun with friends in chat only ! The only time we may play hard is if we run into smack talkers and have to let them know sometimes lol. Other than that we don’t care ! I will enjoy my son teaching me Fortnite on his PC and playing and trying new games that I find on game pass. COD has went way down !

I'm master prestige 103 currently and it was fun to rank up, gave me a goal to work towards. However, now I'm a bit burnt out. Also not sure what's going on with matchmaking over last week or so, but its been non stop cheaters, ranked players, or just all out sweats.

I tend to hang around a bit and get weapons near an XP completion point or just about done and then prestige. Then double xp and weapons completion xp helps move you the next prestige must faster..

Almost prestige 9, is my first cod in a long time, I play sole zombies and multiplayer for the calling cards hunt only; but zombies is more fun to grind the calling cards later in prestige, idk if I still will play after unlocking all the challenge cards, but still a few months to go, only scared black ops 7 is around the corner and this game don’t have a long life span but we see, I’m having fun

Prestige master level 355 just finished nebula on every gun and I did dark matter every gun first 3 weeks of release it’s been the most fun I’ve had camo grinding since Cold War. I also had over half the guns permanently unlocked from black cell cdl rewards, twitch rewards events etc and 10 unlock tokens along the way so not prestiging is a huge waste of XP it’s been real easy to level up with the amount of double xp aswell.

Im at 10th prestige level 34, been having alot of fun grinding camos in the game and just got diamond on the pistols. Personally prestiging for me has been keeping the game fresh and its awesome to keep unlocking new rewards grinding the game. I dont think that Prestige Master will be as rewarding but i suppose i dont know yet. Im still having alot of fun with this game though i also dont play it everyday, i kinda switch between BO6 and Fortnite every few days.

Wither something is "worth" it is personal, it's subjective. People find worth for different reasons. I am almost done with the lower levels at Prestige 9, is it worth it? Probably not. I could probably spend my time doing something else like watch a show or just go outside and enjoy that. I think I will get to Prestige Master and then slow down or stop. It was something for me to accomplish. I didn't really need any of the items Prestige levels gave me. I bought a lot or all of the weapon blueprints so I didn't unlock any of them through Prestige. There is a lot of annoying things like how the game is now with hit registration or matchmaking. Getting 4-5 hit markers and not getting a kill is annoying. If I have to lead the target because of lag, it needs to be consistent, not that I have to lead one player and the next I have to aim directly at them... There is too much instability/inconsistency for me to want to get to Prestige 1000. The camo grind or reticles are other distraction, I personally don't need those either. It's nice to have but how many times and I going to change the camos or reticle? Each game? lol
