I hope people would remember that social media is such a limited point of view. There are luxury enthusiasts that don't follow trends and focus on their style journey. I've seen so many videos talking about "are big bags back in"; who cares! Buy what you love and will use. Fun vid!

boy bag will never be over! it's a perfect girly with an edge bag. i am surprised it hasn't kicked back up as the price is still pretty reasonable. it's also my most used bag. however, i dont know if i would buy another one versus i have 2 CFs, a black and a white.

Hype cycle’ what a brilliant way to put it!!! I agree however, unfortunately I also believe the influence through things like TikTok and KZbin videos sadly is just to create content i.e. “Out of style” “yuk don’t buy” these type of videos is just to create a form of content. The sad part is it knocks onto the younger generation to think that it’s a popularity game. Again, very wasteful, which is ironic seeing as though we are made to believe in recycling yet trending is starting to take over in a really sad, cyclic way….

This topic is really interesting, I’ve noticed I’m keeping things longer now as I buy things because I really like them rather than the trend/hype factor now. I’ve found my style later in life so I know what I’ll wear a lot etc. when I see someone wearing a vintage bag or unusual piece it’s way more interesting. thanks for the video xx

I got a jumbo pre loved about a year ago. I love it so much. I’m a millennial and I used to think it was too big. Glad it’s not so popular, I got a pristine one at a great price. Want a beige Clair now too! ❤

I feel like boy bag can never be "out" Its too classic a style and look that it will always look relevant. Its when the brands get fancy the style comes in and out like crazy.

You make perfect sense Maddie.💗 I know what I love and I stick with what works for me. Dabblng into trends and having fun with them when it appeals to me, but not letting it dictate my style. Love the boy bag and I had 6 good years with mine. I sold it because I just stopped reaching for it but I love the memories I had with it. I feel like the mini rectangular became favorite and that is what I tend to gravitate towards. With all that said I’m thinking of repurchasing a boy in the small size. The medium was a bit too boxy for me for how I was using it, but it will forever be a classic piece. Glad you are still loving your jumbo as well. I like your mindset of knowing what works for you. One can drive themselves crazy if we let trends dictate everything we purchase, wear or hold on to. Here’s to owning one’s own style! 🥂
