Im playjng it on Xbox Game Pass currently. Ive got about 2 hours of playtime so far and man what an amazing game. I am definitely loving it. I have seen the game get a lot of hate but after playing it i have no idea why. The tense atmosphere, music and lighting are just perfect.

I personally enjoyed it quite a lot despite the combat getting pretty repetitive near the end. I know some people say the combat is clunky but I think that just adds to the tension and keeping you on your toes. I also didn’t go into it expecting to be scared because I never really found Dead Space to be scary either. That’s not really a knock against since I consider games like this, Dead Space, Resident Evil 4-6 to be “action horror” and thus allowed to get by on being more tense than actually scary. My major complaints about the game were that the story played out about how I expected it to go (It has almost the same story beats as Dead Space) and the enemy variety being lackluster. That said I found the characters appealing and though I’m salty about the whole “pay for the true ending” debacle I can say I genuinely want to see the series continue.

I completed it yesterday and gotta admit that I don't get why it gets so much hate online. To be clear: the game has annoying weaknesses. However, it seems to me that these mainly stem from a playtest phase that was too short. Above all, the player guidance is miserable in some places. Even though there are no puzzles, I had to search for guides to a certain location on KZbin several times (albeit rarely), as there is no map or anything similar to guide the player. There is also no variety in the gameplay. However, I personally only noticed this after the finale, as I thoroughly enjoyed the combat system (yes it is extremely fun once you get the hang of it) and the story was paced well enough for me not to get bored. The funniest thing about it is that I bought the game at the time of release and already had fun with it back then. But then I got to one of those points where the game didn't tell me clearly enough how to progress and so the title sat in my library for a while. Recently the Dead Space remake came to Playstation Plus and after an hour of Dead Space I suddenly thought of Callisto and that I could give it another chance. So I fired up the game and completed the second half of the game in a single 6 hour session. Now I want a sequel that will never come. This makes me sad.

I just finished it on pc. It's honestly one of the best looking games. Animations are great, facial animations are amazing, the gore is very good. Environments are a bit stale at some point, the "getting split up" aspect get's a bit boring at times. Like yeah I get it I need to do everything by myself and Ai friendlies are not part of this experience, but still it's a bit meh. "Boss fights" are manageable. Overall it's a good 7-8/10. As a person that works in videogames in the technical art department I'm just in awe of how good the game looks for a UE4 game.

I played ds 1, ds 2, ds remake, and i loved callisto. I really liked the gameplay mechanics, but enemies qre kinda repetitive. But for real, callisto is a 6.5, 7 / 10 game, but i really love this universe. Ds2 is better than ds1, so i hope one day we have callisto 2

Is it good? No. They added a few nice things like (paid) new death animations for Jacob and a new game plus mode. Minor QOL fixes like faster healing. But other than that, the bones are painfully average. It’s not a bad game but 6/10 is a fair score.

Just bought the disc copy again today as altho it's free to play in my library it takes half the night to download so I decided to get the disc copy. It's great gory as hell and very hard at times the game has you relying on melee and conserving health ammo because it's punishing if you don't have either. But aside from that it's definitely worth playing and great scary for Halloween

I played the cracked version with all the additional content of the game on PC. Gotta be honest, the game did jumpscare me a couple of times. Visually the game is top tier but pretty blurry if you turn off the Anti Alising + DLSS related graphical settings. Even with max settings, the game was blurry. The facial animations are very likable. The mimicary of the characters were fairly detailed. The main campaign was ok so far, simple but not dumb, I'd could add the word meaningful but that would be kinda too much. The characters have proper motivation, developement overtime, didn't seem to act like little children or derranged retards. They were able to make the right decisions on the given situations. The DLCs though were better, it reminded me a lot of 3rd Dead Space's DLCs or 2nd Dead Space. And it completes the empty spaces that the main campaign left open.

Decent review, im a big fan of any game that has gore but the only way i would play this is if there was a way to get unlimited credits so i can buy upgrade everything haha Like i srarted playing Starfield when it came out & got bored of it, but now they have added mods its makes the game so much better if you get the cheat room mod

There's actually a "dismemberment mode" difficulty option, where every hit dismembers the enemy, keep in mind you don't get any achievements in this mode Oh and Starfield's cheat room looks interesting, I wish it had humans instead of robots though 😂

I am FULLY and completely loving this review. THIS is how a review should be. Those channels that love to "throw positivity" (i understand) but it does not tell anyone the TRUTH about how the game is. I just find this game TOO linear .. and not even much exploration not even proper "secret places" or at least a good development in the game play (my personal verdict of this game is 6/10 and i am being very generous.)

Played it about a month after release and dropped it before even getting out of Black Iron Prison, i thought it was too boring. After a lot of time away from the game, I went back and played it through to the end on its Hardcore mode, +DLC. I gotta admit, the game was far from bad. The only TRUE flaw I ever spotted with the game was melee combat vs Two-Head (and that it was near impossible). Besides that, there was a lot of good things to take away from the game, and I hope the devs don't give up on this direction of development. Maybe another Callisto game with some more love to the writing and some more depth to the combat, would do some good...

I am never having Shwarma ever again. 3:16. 😂😂😂 On my 2nd playthrough now, after playing it for the fist time half a year ago. Still don't quite like it. The level design is tedious (50% shimmy tight cracks, crawl into vents), extreme tank controls, poor level layout and access that don't make sense, poor crowd control, pointless audio recordings that do little for exposition, terrible checkpoint and save points, the list goes on... Normally, I enjoy games that stretch on to 10 hours for the main campaign. For Callisto Protocol though, it became a chore after the 5th hour. Great graphics though.

The game has a lot of wasted potential, the busted melee mechanic, the repetitive enemies, and the overuse of cheap jumpscares are the only downsides of this game. The horror in this game is just being unprepared for the loud noise sudden monster popping out of nowhere jumpscare, which happens A LOT.

But the end boss fight yikes just held the left movement key in stage 1 and stage 2 just drifted around the table ........ the boss was not really finale. I saw the dlc boss and Why didn't they put that in the none dlc as well but whatever I'm happy I go tot play it for free and not pay because I'm not even gonna bother with new game +.

Terrible combat mechanic , enemy eazy overwhelm you and there is just up to maybe 30 very weak bullets pistol...
