Now I want a bacon sandwich. Tip: add half a cup of hot, Not boiling water into the the draw. The steam will keep the bacon moist while still being crispy. Speaking of pig, I bought a tray of 8 Pork with Sicilian black olives and Parmesan cheese sausages. I'm going to steam airfry then. Cheers Gareth 👍😀

I do my bacon in my air fryer all the time. I use paper baskets to save on washing up. I use 2. 1 under the tray to catch the fat and 1 above the tray to put the bacon in. Have 1 hole in the middle for any fat to drip through so it does not sit in any fat. Works a treat. Bacon looked amazing. Great video too.

I got a Tefal single drawer Air Fryer last Christmas and have used it every day since then. The tray is still immaculate and looks new. All the touch buttons work flawlessly and it has never failed in any way. I use Tomato Sauce on my Bacon. I also have never had trapped water issues.

Depends on which tomato sauce you use, if it’s Ketchup that is the WORST tomato sauce on the market. I recommend either Mexican tomato sauce or Southern-Italian tomato sauce.

Little tip for you on cleaning after which I find really useful. Few mins before it pings as ready, put the kettle on 3/4 full. When you've transferred bacon to plate, immediately pour boiling water into the basket with tiny squirt of washing up liquid and leave by sink or wherever. When meal finished, you'll find it so easy to wash the basket and tray with just a quick wipeover.

We've had the Ninja air fryers for the last 4 or so years, tried the large one tray Ninja but ended up sending it back, the 2 single drawers are much easier to empty contents, went for this Cosori same as yours Gaz. Easy to use, easy to clean, plenty of cooking space and you can light up each compartment to see how the cooking is going. First one lasted a few weeks and the fan started rattling permanently, luckily it was still within the 30 days return window with Amazon, they sent us another one and so far so good. I like the Cosori, quite a bit cheaper than the Ninja.

I used to love a bacon sarnie, I don't say butty because I don't butter my bread. My little foible was to have one slice spread with brown sauce and the other with ketchup. My other thing was to fry the bacon on its own no oil. Inevitably, there was bacon fat left in the pan. I added a little extra oil if needed, and in that, I fried a thin sliced fresh tomato. I put the tomato with the bacon and dipped my bread in the pan to mop up the leftover juices. Put the sandwich together with a little pepper for the tomato and bobs yer uncle, no sauce needed. Anyway, thanks for the demo, I'll give it a go. Good video, all the best.👍

I love my air fryer 🥰. I love crispy streaky bacon in sarnies or a BLT. Yum yum. I've been looking at getting a double fryer 🤔. Lidl's Black Friday is here. They have reduced their Daewoo double fryer from £78.99 down to £59.99. They are also doing a 2.5ltr for £17.99 and a 4.5ltr for £24.99. Really good bargains. I'm pretty sure that Aldi will be doing something similar, as they normally do. People may say " If it's from Lidl or Aldi? It must be rubbish ". I've been buying tools, electrical and kitchen items from Lidl and Aldi for decades and I've never had a problem with any item yet. Obviously as being on a pension I have a budget and this is within it. When I bought my first air fryer? I chucked out my deep fat fryer because it was redundant. Anyway, just a tip off on what's on offer.

I dont use the factory insert. I line the main basket with foil then use a wire rack, as close to the size of my airfrier. Can get 3 rashers in it and its perfect every time. Wire rack goes in the dishwasher, foil in the bin, basket remains clean enough.

I put tin foil in the bottom of the basket, i put the tin foil flat, and put the grill plate on it cutting around it with an inch border then push it into the basket. Literally no washing up. The worse enemy for them is that one calorie spray oil. Don't use anything with lecithin or a propellant in the bottle. I use a spray bottle from Temu and put sunflower oil in it

I do two rashers in the round Ninja at 180° for 8 minutes. Same timing for streaky or back bacon. I first line the Ninja crisper plate with nonstick kitchen foil, which also helps in the clean up afterwards. For my bacon sandwich I also prefer white bread, but best of both is also okay. But I do add a squirt of tomato sauce, never brown sauce.

Can’t swallow unbuttered or sparsely buttered bread! Has to be thickly spread! My late mother, if asked if she wanted the bread left dry or buttered, would have said “Dipped in the fat that the bacon was fried in!” - without considering that the bacon had been grilled - no such things as even microwave ovens in those days, never mind air fryers!

Yea, can't beat air fryer bacon... I also put some fresh ground black pepper on mine after it's been cooking for 3-4 mins. If you put it on at the start it gets blown off! But if you put it on later it sticks to the oil on the bacon :) Fab. And yes to Martinjb55 .... don't waste those juices and get the bread in there :)
@Nite-owl4 күн бұрын
The only way to beat bacon butties is to have even more bacon butties. We're all different, but personally I love an egg on with brown sauce and pepper. If I'm out of eggs, cheese is good. If I'm out of cheese too, an extra rasher of sliced pig doesn't go amiss, but for me, the brown sauce and pepper just elevates it😁
