That unit isn't designed for a uninsulated garage . Not sure how big your garage is but it would be a big ask to get much cooling . I have a couple of these units for bedrooms & they work fine . The trick is to size them properly - correct BTU's for the square foot of the room.

I agree and I don't think any AC unit is designed to cool an uninsulated space. My garage is just under 600sqft. This unit is rated to cool 700sqft. The goal here is to lower the garage temp to a more tolerable level while working on projects. I am confident this unit will do that. The ultimate goal is to run it off my DIY solar setup. I think it's going to work well for my situation but time will tell. Thanks for your input.
