Just to point out the differences, e50m has a quarter more p/w ratio. is a little smaller, makes the front armor more slightly angled and therefore its a little better. Turret is nowadays much better. 260something against 185.

The E50M also has the same crew skills all the way from tier 5,so by the time you get to tier 10 you've got a 5 skill crew, even as a f2p player.

E50 has transmission in the front, so fire every shot you get. E50M has it in the back

The key to the e50m and e50 is picking your fights knowing who you can use your armour against and who you cant - slowly dwindling down your opponents with a reliable fast reloading accurate gun until its time to brawl with tanks you can brawl. play it as a leo with some armor also the e50m has better gold aka heat which makes a huge difference

I have the same problem, I'm good in the Tier IX - E50, but suck at the Tier X - E50M, but no bond equipment. I might have to revisit it and beef it up a bit. :)

The DPM pipi on E-50 can work - but I think that you have to be a very good player to make High DPM work for you. Most of us average schmoe's are much better off with the higher Alpha guns.

One side of each map seems to be gear for offense, while the other for defense. Perhaps thinking of map balance should take a backseat to making strategic choices according to this notion.

First battle was better. He wasn't using premium until the end when he ran out of AP shells and he was using better tactics. The second battle not so much on tactic other than spam premium and just bull doze his way against tanks that pretty much ignored him. The first guy worked harder to get his win. I agree with Claus the E-50 and the E-50 M are both good tanks.

The E50m was one 1st t10 tanks I wanted, even though it may not be the best I still enjoy and have had many ludicrous moments in it. Regardless I'm happy I got it. Weird fact, if you look at the picture displayed for the E50m it still shows the old cone gun mantle it used to have, wonder how effective it'd be on the current version lol

I honestly love the 88mm on the E50. I tend to have more fun games with it. Both options are fine if you know what you are doing. I honestly wish the tier 10 had the 2 gun options as well would be funny.

Both games were great. I have both e50-s and both Leopards at tiers 9/10 and love all 4 meds. However if I could only have one it would be the tier 9 E50 such a great all round tank and a brilliant tank for raming.

Most good players seem to prefer the E50 over the E50M because it's almost the same (they say) and has the Tier 9 meta. German streamer mouzacrobat just did some E50 gameplay last week where he said the same about E50 vs E50M. I can't tell because i haven't played WoT since WoWs came out. :)

Thanks Claus, i really love my e 50m, but also e 50, they are bouth great meds, i equiped them for raming, but the gun is really nice, even e 50 who have worst penetration, only its lacking on DPM, but it doesnt mather if you have chance to ram someone, than you have DPM fixed :)

Hmmm idk personally it depends on what tanks are in the enemy team.. Often even at this spawn in mines i cant get fast enough on the hill. And as we see no med or lt of the enemy team even tried to go hill

I have noticed the same tier 9/10 discrepancy in several other tanks (eg. Leopard PTA / 1). The fanboys can call me a "tomato" but I believe it is matchmaking to get people to use premium consumables and account to try to "up" their tier 10 performance. Consistently load up premium consumables and oila! - after a few games get better matchmaking. In another note, get yourself an EUCC account - your tier 10 performance will miraculously improve.

That only happens if they have some fast tanks and the north side doesn't. The north side has definitely an advantage with the hill and the 1 line. Sure, the southern side can win, they have some nice defensive positions but overall, north side is better.

I'm like you Claus, I do better in my E 50 over my tier 10 E 50 M, technically an E 50 is inferior in a tier 10 match up but yet I always do consistently well in it, I play on console not PC but still, by inferior I mean poorer penetration compared to the tier 10

The problem with the Panther is that its armor is so thin that even angled you couldn't hope to do the same kinds of antics at tier 7 that you can do at tier 10 with the E 50 Ausf. M. The E 50 M (and E 50) have really thick and well angled plates of armor on the upper front of the hull, so you can bait people into shooting it even at seemingly bad angles and they'll still bounce. Just looking at it front-on the upper plate is 270-300mm thick. Also, unlike the Panther, the E 50s have a high alpha brawling gun. The Panther only has low alpha pee shooters so it can never trade with same or higher tiered vehicles.

You're better at the tier 9 because you get that +1/-2 matchmaking. The tier 10 faces tier 8/9/10 with a lot of even tier MM. TL;DR: You're not as good when not bullying tier 7 and 8s.....
