I have NFC in my headphones, it triggers pairing/connection on tap. So.. I made one for my car as well, tap my phone and it pairs my phone to the vehicle and sets a few modes. I added a tag to my handbag as well, tap my phone and it pairs to a set of BT earbuds.

There are a million videos on what the Flipper is but zero good videos on how to use it.
@rad_linux2 жыл бұрын
Its really hard since the flipper zero is kind of nebulous. There are plenty of videos showing simple use cases, but the problem is that the flipper is basically hackable hardware and so the possibilities are endless! I have a couple videos about some of the features, but there isn't even documentation on a ton of the things the flipper can do.
@svporqueno2 жыл бұрын
So what would you recommend in terms of how you approached learning the device once you had it in hand?
@rad_linux2 жыл бұрын
Honestly its been a bunch of experimentation and hours of research. I would say look things up a lot, and then look them up again. Check out the Discord, though I admittedly haven't used that as a resource too much. Check out the various github repositories that have different things already captured or scripted. Don't just use them aimlessly, try to understand what they are doing and why. If you aren't already familiar with basic programming concepts, this is probably the time to check them out. Try looking up what things like GPIO pins are and why you might need them. I definitely recommend watching things like defcon talks here on youtube. They talk about a lot of concepts that the Flipper also hits. Like, I accidentally fell across the flipper CLI when trying to understand how the USB to UART bridge worked because its not really documented well. Its definitely about experimentation

thats just not true. The flipper offers a host of features that go well beyond emulation. The creative uses of the GPIO, applications API, and tools like bad USB are just a few of the things it can do beyond emulation. Thats just what the most popular youtube and tiktok videos focus on because it catches eyes. The flipper is a full featured hacking device.

yes, switching to a cummunity firmware will allow you to unlock a few features (mostly radio features). I have made a video more recently about whether thats as powerful as it might seem. TLDR, it probably isnt

“The firmware knows what is illegal?” So is it locked down, fictionality wise? God I thought that was the whole point, a tool to find vulnerabilities for responsible disclosure, ahem. Sigh, never mind then. Saved me $250 to Canada, cheers mate.
@rad_linux2 жыл бұрын
I didn't explain it as well as I could have. But i believe there are regional firmware locks. So if you get a US variant, or an EU variant, etc. it will allow or disallow certain signals as required by the FCC or whatever. There are some firmware forks that are working to eliminate those barriers to the robust experience flipper zero can offer.

@@Compyler PandaRF is a good sub ghz unit but is less ‘point and click’ if you know what I mean.
