Thank you to all of you that have reached out via text, Instagram, and FB. Heather and I are safe from the storm. It was definitely a devastating storm for the people on the coast. We are about 10 miles inland so we had no storm surge here. Houses flooded along the coast, anywhere from 5-8’ of water in peoples homes, houses burned to the ground from electrical fires, boats are in the streets, the streets are flooded and full of sand. As bad as it is, we understand how much worse it could have been. Prayers for the big bend where Helene direct impacted. 🙏🏻

Definitely bang for the buck . Know the limitations of the boat and keep It in its habitat backcountry . No offshore unless its glass, but you know we in florida and storms just pop up. 🙌

Absolutely! Just like with any other boat, they all have their limitations. These boats are just perfect for inshore, especially in the Tampa Bay Area where the water is super skinny.

I own one, stabile, yes, it is because the hull bottom is wider than the gunnel. The boat is very wet, designed for swallow waters.

Whats the average price? Would this boat do good in the saint John river in Jacksonville?

The bare hull I believe is around $3,500 but that’s without a trailer or motor, you can see some of these decked out to $20k and up, mine for instance I’ve got about $16k into it with all electronics, motor, decking, trailer, etc. I’ve seen some nice used ones going from $12-15k. And we’ll actually be in Astor, FL next weekend doing a 3 day vacation on the St. John’s river. There’s also a guy on KZbin named Trip Smith that has done the entire river (300+ miles) on a gheenoe if I’m not mistaken. I know he camped along the banks, pretty interesting videos he’s got 👍🏻

I called the builder he used, to ask that same question. I said can you spec out that exact boat, because it is awesome. It was $23,000. That includes both motors, down to the sea deck and trailer. The build would start in January. It's a fairly good deal, considering many of the alternatives start a little below the same place.

Yes, we got extremely lucky. Were 10 miles inland, most of the houses on the coast flooded anywhere from 5-8’ of storm surge. Houses burned to the ground from electrical fires, boats are in the streets, it’s insane honestly. We had a few trees fall here but never lost power, counting our blessings 🙏🏻

You been doing the whole interview with that stable and stick in the ground of course the boats gonna help stay still with that in the ground. Take the stable and stick out and then do the test. Let me see.

It’s not called a “stable stick” it’s called an anchor pin and it’s only Job is to keep the boat from drifting, it has zero affect on stability, if that were the case I could’ve put 2 more in the ground and not rocked at all according to your theory 🤔

lol my buddy weighs 260 and owns one, he doesn’t feel as stable on it as I do but he still does well!

@SALTxTHExWOUND I fish with my dad in hospital B60 Riverhawk and the stability of the Gheenoe developed hull design is fantastic...but, I'm not walking on the rub rail...LOL. I'm not even sure the wall would hold me, even it th we boat stayed upright. I started fishing the hooch and Oconee out of an original Gheenoe in the 80s ...but I weighed 140 back then.
