Is The GP24 Ducati's Greatest Ever MotoGP Bike? 🐐

The GP24 is currently leading the MotoGP World Championship with Jorge Martin, 2nd with Pecco Bagnaia & 4th with Enea Bastianini. The only GP23 bike close to them is Marc Marquez in 3rd place.
So it begs the question, as Bagnaia builds his incredible mid season form - Is the Ducati GP24 set to be the Italian brands greatest ever MotoGP bike?

THE KEY THING: DUCATI HAVE THE DATA, they have not signed marquez only because of marketing. They can see he is outperforming the GP23 relative to the data they have. Im pretty confident that marquez will beat pecco next year.

@@CrashMotoGP people are blinded by the gp22 gap to the 23. GP24 even visually looks far better on the track. People forget who Marquez is, I honestly believe in terms of pure talent, only stoner is comparable. Marquez is nowhere near his ceiling. Rossi as a total package in his prime could have been a stellar battle as well.

@@CrashMotoGP you know what's annoying??? We have been robbed of Marquez prime years, 27-31 And we didn't get the Marc Vs Fabio title battle which we would have got in '21, ironically same year as max Vs Lewis

The answer is yes, Gigi said that he wanted the Gp24 to have a much more meaningful advantage compared to last year's bike and I think that goal has been achieved

Not sure about all time but it is certainly the best bike on the grid right now and the credits should go to Dovi 04 and Bagnaia 63 for developing it.

I have seen enough, the GP24 is significantly better than the GP23 and perhaps on some tracks more than others. To me, it can't be this difficult for Marc to win if the bikes were close, they just aren't. Personally, I do not expect any wins from Marc this season. And I will say let the chips fall as they may when Marc finally gets on a factory GP25, be it good or bad.

Yes, by a country mile. The bike is far superior to the GP23. People will soon see that when Marc gets on the same bike as Bagnaia in 2025 and suddenly Marc is beating Bagnaia with ease.

BUT ducattis grip on bike motorsport is slipping. Wsbk they no longer have ez dominance. In GP other bikes are CLOSE. I think 27 if not before will be BIG seat change

I do want to see how we look with some more upgrades to the aprilla and ktm during the year. Like at the start the bikes were feeling relatively close but whatever upgrades and fixes the gp 24 has gotten during the year have just left all the other bikes in the dirt. But as of right now its hard to deny that the GP24 is just by far the best bike on the grid. I feel bad for the likes of acosta who was looking so close to winning races a few rounds ago but now that ktm just can't compete.

Ducati have earned this. They endured many, many years of mediocrity and criticism. It's one of the reasons I'm unbothered by their dominance. I fully believe manufacturer success is cyclical. Honda and Yamaha will be back at the top over the next few years.

From my understanding The GP23 had front end problems that Ducati fixed with updates to Only The factory riders.Those updates required alot of support . Marc said the Winning bikes Marco and Morbidelli ride didn't get all the updates because of support issues in an interview he had and the Ducati he rides isn't to far off theirs. He is riding Zarco's last year Ducati. It will be interesting to see how much performance is lost in the future due to so called support issues.

Not sure if MM93 can win the title again next year but it is likely he can claim the #2 spot. I doubt that Martin will consistently have the same results on the Aprilia.

Ok, let Ducati retain six bikes. As long as Dorna allows the other teams to do the same I'm ok with that. If not, then Ducati needs to lose one more satellite team.

Satellite teams are free to choose what’re bike they want, it’s not Ducati’s fault their bike is so good

@@ianjohnson1207 My point is more about how many. KTM asked for six bikes in 2023 and Dorna said no. Why? Ducati has eight. Because Suzuki left and Yamaha lost their satellite team to Aprilia? Because Drona wanted to leave room for another manufacturer like BMW or MV Augusta? Ducati can have one factory team and three satellite teams but everyone else can only have one satellite team to support their factory? That is the explanation I'm looking for, not which bike brand.

@@user-gz9vv1nl3b Ask DORNA not me, Ducati have one official team same as everyone else, you seem to have the problem with the rest of the the Ducati’s They are satellite teams that are free to choose Ducati, KTM, Yamaha, Honda, whatever ever manufacturer they want, they are private teams They have chosen the best bike and Ducati have supplied them, if those teams chose KTM that’s also up to them and if KTM wanted there’d be eight KTMs But there’s not because the satellite teams have leased the best bike available to them What’s so difficult to understand
