100% of the reason theyre doing this is because 1. enhanced edition is coming to PC and that has an optional sub, but people will not pay for a sub in a hacker infested game. And the biggest one of all is if they dont fix the problem then all the money they put into gta6 is gunna go down the drain. Im ok with both tbh. I just wanna have fun in public lobbies every so often.

Honestly you're a sucker if you pay for GTA+ WE the players have spoken: we do not want GTA to be a pay to win game! 11 years and R* still can't even stop the cheaters that ruin the game for players that like the satisfaction of doing everything legitimately. it's pathetic.

I have experienced being griefed by modder on my Xbox Series X GTO experience. Not as common, but it does happen. Plus being kicked out of the lobby is even more common than being seriously messed with

I've never used mod menus. I don't use money cheats. I don't use replay glitches. I don't grief. I don't even go into public lobbies unless some mission forces me to do so. I just like to play on solo, without cheating, and I have more in-game money than I can spend, because I'm out of parking anyhow. Even if modders were not in public lobbies, I'm just not interested in being there. So far, this anti-cheat sucks for me personally. I have an old joystick to the right of my desk, that serves as an analog substitute for my number-pad. I typically stick to my keyboard and mouse, except for a small hand-full of vehicles that benefit from analog stick. The anti-cheat blocks my joystick. A now have a set of vehicles that suck to use. Yeah, I could probably push hard-ware level controller emulation, but that potentially screws-up every other game that isn't GTA in a way that I will have to one-by-one compensate for. It's not worth it for a game that is in heat-death mode. I very much doubt that the anti-cheat will block the actual cheaters for very long. From my solo-player perspective, this has been bad.

A friend of mine has a conspiracy theory. He believes that Rockstar, a company with revenue in billions, is in cohoots with these mod menu creators. They know that protection in pc is a hot mess and will require too much work to fix it, so rather they would take share in revenue from some "other sources". All this Battle eye update did was weed out the free mod menu users thereby preventing this revenue leakage. We know that premium mod menus like Stand and 2Take1 became active again in like 6-10 hrs from the update. Now, the players who are too used to modding will purchase those premium mod menus too. His theory doesn't sound too far fetched to me now.

Glad it's improved for you. I'm just inherently mistrustful of Battleye's effectiveness due to the anecdotal experiences of players, and privacy/security concerns with kernel-level anticheat. With that, I've just kicked back and watched the fallout of its quiet implementation without playing myself. I originally bought the game for the storymode anyway, so the online aspect was just a nifty bonus. I certainly hope your experience is the majority, because a reprieve from the incessant godmode griefers sounds heavenly.

@@Igorath nah, that seems exaggerated. I reported 7 mod menu users w/ youtube video the 16th of sept; 1 day before battleeye. People teleporting and spawnkilling entire lobbys. Windmills in front of garage. UFO player throwing me in the sea. People in cages. This blatant modding happened ZERO times since BE, and i've been playing every day. There is other stuff happening like the crashing and i got police put on me once, but people VERY clearly are not so confident anymore with their menu bs. It is a serious bit cleaner. Also, the glitching and lag seems like an imaginary problem. I'm running an i3-12100f with gtx 1070 and 32gb ram and my game looks exactly the same performance-wise. Load screens are shorter in my regard.

Played all day only ran into one Modder. This is the best thing ever, Modders are pretty much finally gone. Vrs how it was before; log in and instantly get messed with. only if they would also do this for Red Dead.

God mode players last night on PC and people sniping you from across the map, they also seem to be teleporting around. I got into an RC personal vehicle in the middle of nowhere and i got kicked out and there was someone standing right next to me which would be impossible without mods.

I'm in GTA Online on PC right now and entering new sessions to find full servers but none of the servers are full. At most, there are 6 players. This means the anti-cheat has effect.

06:45 The GTA GPS does get confused when you exit a building sometimes: on PC just press Z a few times and you'll be back to the minimap with the route aligned with your arrowhead this time. If you look at your minimap, the route is offset to the right, which is why you go the wrong way!

Yeah me too!!!!!! I really don't like the GPS that guides you to the yellow marker and also not smart enough. Hope GTA 6 Online's GPS is smarter than this

The GPS has always been trash guys. The reason why is because it chooses the "shortest distance" method to determine your golden path. It's an algorithm, and it doesn't think about things like, is there a route with fewer turns? Or is there a faster, but longer route on the freeway? It doesn't even show you the shortcuts through alleyways and byways along your path. You have to learn the map well enough to spot those on your own.

dunno about battleye but i had problems using one because it was a different ip in another country and c*ckstar detected it as such. 'no play for you' until it got sorted out.

I use VPN cause gambling is banned in my country. I have been on US, netherlands, japan servers and wasn't banned so far.
