Is The Heretic Manticore X Better Than The Microtech Ultratech?!

I'm thinking about the carbon fiber Manticore x. Love my Guardian Tactical. Great action. Adding more otf knives to my collection and want to try several different makers.

I don't have an Ultratech. I have a Scarab 2 Generation 3 and a Manticore-X...the newest version with the frag pattern handle and two-tone Magnacut blade. All I can say is the Manticore-X is a fantastic OTF! I actually like it more than the Scarab.

Very interesting! Im not sure what year this manticore was made (in the video) also i haven't got my hands on one of their newer versions, i didnt know they had one with frag pattern scales which is bad ass!

I also feel that comparing the manticore with the scarab is a better comparison, as an Ultratech has that thinner handle

Microtech all the way. Although Heretic has some interesting designs.

I have every Microtech and I have a Manticore E Tanto Magnacut - I would say in current configuration as of today they are equal however, in the very near future the updated Ultratech comes out with a Titanium and silicone carbide pocket clip, the dual fuel system which deploys a bit nicer than the manticore but the big deal for me - it will have the zero blade play system all included for about $350. With these upgrades, I don’t think anything comes close.

That does sound like quite the collection! You definitely don't have every microtech. That is such a wild statement. You may have one of each of the production model otfs..which would still be around 100 knives with the different edges... But I doubt it. With all of the newer gen otfs it's probably closer to 200 knives. At 400 to 500 a pop.. 80-100 grand.
