Can you elaborate on the quick release and how it works? Do you know if this works with the Peak Design Capture plate?

The quick release would be on the ballhead, not the tripod legs. But if the Capture plate has a 3/8" or 1/4"-20 attachment (which most camera stuff does), you should be able to mount it to the legs. Hope this helped.
