Is the JOYO MOMIX legit or a waste of money? | Dynamic Gear Reviews

Joseph, i record on a Zoom R24... Can i use the MOMIX to get my recordings on my phone? Ive tried many methods and it still sounds awful. Like; Zoom into MOMIX, play along with guitar, record audio and video. Thanks man. Great video 👍🏻

Just curious. When i first saw this Joyo Momix on an af in my facebook, my first impression was "is this a ripoff of Roland Go mixer?" The design cues and color scheme of black and white seems like it. Correct me if Im wrong. Lol

You should get the nux optima for your guitar sound it's a little too cuaki with only your guitar preamp build in tray it and it will change completely the sound of your guitar you will see it's amazing and cheap. Interesting video thank you 👍😉

Thank you for the great video. I just had a quick question. Would it he possible to simultaneously record 1) guitar 2) bass 3) electric drums 4) vocal is some way or another. Not worrying about being super high quality recording. Just to like jam and record at the same time those 4 things in some way ? Thank you again for the great review

I believe you could make that happen with the inputs available, but I would guess that two things will have to be hard panned since two of the quarter inch inputs are connected as a stereo pair.

I ordered a zoom u-24 instead of this plastic bin fill.. Thomann are doing those bad boys for £59 at the moment.. 24bit (momix is 16 only) so no brainer

Nice content. Hope you included tech specs like sample rate and compatible apps, but that could have been a longer video. I cant decide between momix, preonus audiobox go, or ammoon agm04. But i think this will help me go with the momix. I wish joyo included loopback or bluetooth instead of center cancel. If i may ask, i use multi effects for guitar and bass. Should I plug it on the guitar/bass or the into the intrument input?

I couldn’t really find any info on the sample rate, unfortunately. my assumption is that it’s 44.1, since the iphone records at 44.1 when using a headset. I imagine bluetooth or loop back might’ve raised the price a bit. The momix is actually $20 off rn on Amazon so you can get it for like $90! I think you’d be fine to use either. From what I can tell, there isn’t really a difference between those two inputs, except that “instrument” can be used for stereo inputs. It is only mono if you only plug in to the L input, but once you plug into the R input as well, it’ll hard pan those two signals. So I’d say probably you’ll want to use guitar/bass in case you want to use those for something else like a keyboard.

Hi! I have a Momix here but I could never get it to work on my smartphone camera and on Instagram. I don't know why, but the cell phone only identifies the momix microphone when it's on whatsapp. On the cameras, it continues to record the cell phone's built-in microphone. I've tried everything, settings, but nothing works. Please, if anyone knows how to do it, it would be of tremendous help!! So far I just think I threw my money away buying this Momix. The smartphones I've tested it on are Zenfone 3 and Galaxy a13

I haven’t tried it on Android, sorry! It may just not work as well with them. It works perfectly on iPhone. That sucks that it’s giving you issues like that. Can you save videos from Whatsapp to your camera roll/media library and then upload to the other apps you need, maybe?

@@thedynamicmusician8950 sadly, it doesn't work on whatsapp camera either. It only workds when you record just audio, in an audio note/message. ;/ The sad thing is that Joyo advertises it as compatible with every system. Thanks for your answer! I'll keep looking, or just end up selling it

Good to know! I haven’t had any issues with this unit, and seeing how cheap it is... I’d probably just buy a new one if i had issues.
