Idk about everyone else here but there’s just something soothing about trail riding especially watching these videos so cool

Have 19 xcf with recluse. Best bike ever for free riding
@motolucci463 жыл бұрын
Great video. I bought a 21 350 exc-f this summer and have decided to go with a rekluse. I haven’t installed it yet as we are still buried under snow here but have been watching as many videos as I can dreaming about a day when we can ride again. I notice that you still use the clutch quite a bit. Looks like on downhill sections and fanning it sometimes on uphills. Is this because of pre-rekluse habits? I’m really tired of people saying it’s cheating and you just need to learn clutch control. I’m 46 and have been riding since I was 5. I have perfect clutch control. I just think that I would enjoy the bike and woods riding so much more if I could focus on other aspects of riding. Maybe those people who say it’s cheating have never ridden right single track in the north east. Here in western PA we have rocks, roots, mud and extreme elevation changes sometimes with no run at it. I am Hoping this clutch will just make my rides that much more enjoyable.
@eastcoastsingletrack31523 жыл бұрын
I used it like a normal clutch most of the time bc of pre rekluse habits as you stated, you do not have to use it at all you could remove the handle all together if you wanted! But I did like to fan the clutch in tight sections etc to make the bike more lively. The trans in the 450 was really tall, but you could damn near ride the entire track in 2nd gear. I think you will like it! Only bikes I suggest rekluse on are 350+ 4 strokes, anything less you will lose power and be annoyed. IMO. Thanks for watching man anything else shoot me a message

i have a 505 with an auto clutch, yes it does kick ass, but i still forget to use the clutch to get the RPMs up on a steep uphill...when in doubt, stab that clutch to get her moving quickly!

Hey mate, nice bike. I have a 2019 450 xcf, pretty much stock. Love the bike but find it hard to keep from stalling in the tight single track. Any suggestions other than a rekklus to help out with the stalling in the tight stuff (other than better clutch control)? . Also curious what other mods you have done and like on your bike.
@eastcoastsingletrack31524 жыл бұрын
Stormzer hey man thanks for watching and commenting! I’ll be honest with you, the best thing I did was the Rekluse, but, you can also change gearing. I went from the 13/48 gearing up to the 13/50, stock chain and front sprocket, made a world of difference! Even with the clutch installed I still found the gearing to be way too high for slow tight single track, so geared it up, the clutch, and that’s it. Bike is awesome. Some people suggest raising the idle, but I didn’t like that idea. I also have the EE SKID, EE wrap around handguards, and a FMF titanium header. Got the header on trade at dealer because the factory one had been miswelded. But yeah man, you are going to have to at minimum gear it up. Try the aluminum primary drive sprockets cheap and last quite a bit.

You can add weight to the flywheel to make it a bit more stall resistant. Might make the engine rev a bit slower though from my understanding.
@unidentifiable18752 жыл бұрын
@@mmaaddict78 that's correct. For these big four strokes if you're having trouble stalling them I've found the more weight the better. Instead of a flywheel weight only, I just bought a complete flywheel. Eighteen ounces heavier and it really made a difference. Smooths the power out well and doesn't reduce the Rev ceiling too much I didn't feel.

Enjoy the video but I’m not sure this convinces me that an XCF 450 with a Rekluse is the right combination for single track and generally woods riding. I’m strongly considering a new 19 left over for northern Michigan woods riding.

If I were you I’d go 250f or 350f, 450 is a lot of bike, it was my bike at the time and personally looking back I’d go 2 stroke or 250f or 350f. Probably 250f if I picked

What is it like at slow speeds ? Where you riding the slower stuff in 1st or 2nd gear ? Im wanting to buy a xcf but I do a lot of tight single trail and I dont want something that's going to be stalling often

P.O.D Enduro it’s a great all around bike, I have rekluse, so I geared it up from 13-48 to 13/50, and I ride mainly second gear, it is more of a straight line bike I’ll be honest, it will do tight stuff, and I ride it fine like that, but is probably go to a 350xcf or 250xcf, and probably get a rekluse for the 350+cc 4t. The clutch it amazing I wouldn’t ride it without one.

If you’re riding tight single track, you’re probably better off with the W model or a two stroke W model. Unless you can get one cheap enough that you have money leftover for the Rekluse.
