Thanks for your review guys. Did you have an issues with your filter? Recently bought a larq pitcher and the app says i need to replace the filter
@MyHomeFarm
@MyHomeFarm Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching our review. No, we've not had any issues with out filters. If your filter is still new, just go to the app, follow the "Install a New Filter" process and that should "reset" it in the app (using your current filter). It was really interesting, because when the app told us our first filter was expiring, your could taste that the water was no longer clean. So just reset the filter and that should work.

It has not been tested for fluoride. So I would be cautious about recommending it so easily, even if they sent you a free one.

We are not concerned about fluoride levels in our water supply. If you are, then installing a reverse osmosis filter and activated alumina filter is the way to go to reduce fluoride levels in water.

When you fill the Greek with water, the blue light will not flash until you press it. It will flash for about ten seconds and then go off. Filtration will continue without the light flashing.

There’s something wrong with your unit then. The UV light starts immediately when it comes in contact with new water, and flashes until it’s done.

Hi, thanks for the review. We have also used brita, but the count down timer is set on time, not on how much water is being filtered. We have used Zero water, our tap water reads 255 tds, a Zero filter was lasting 1 week!, this just got to expensive, so I am wondering how long would these filters last, I know that's hard to say, but is it more than a week before the tds goes back to 255 would you feel? Thanks in advance. All the best Si
@MyHomeFarm
@MyHomeFarm 11 ай бұрын
No problem Si. We're filtering around 5 litres per day, and are changing the filter every 5-6 weeks. When the app and pitcher tells you the filter is due to be changed, it's very accurate. This pitcher surpasses Zerowater and Brita in every way. More expensive, but much, much better. If you decide to get one, we'd appreciate your support in using this affiliate link: bit.ly/larq-mhf

Any larger pitcher will be a bit cumbersome to handle, while smaller pitchers are easier to handle but don't hold enough water, at least for me. I had been using a Brita but the white filters really don't filter out much from my tap water when I tested it using a TDS meter. The blue ones that filter out more including but are more expensive. I really don't like Brita pitchers because they constantly change them and as you said their filter life indicator is time based and often they just don't work right and when the non replaceable battery dies, it has to be thrown away and they don't sell replacements so you have to buy a whole new pitcher all over again, which is so wasteful. I also noticed that they seem to be using thinner plastic for the pitchers now, which means they can break or crack more easily when cleaning them. And cleaning is a pain too, because they have too many nooks and crannies for gunk to build up in. Over a year ago I switched to the Zero Water and I have to say I really like it. Yes, the filters a bit expensive but the TDS meter will show zero, which is amazing. I get around 3 to 4 weeks out of each filter. If you got a fishy or lemony smell it's because the filter over due to be replaced. You have to check it with the TDS meter often, especially if you have really hard water at the tap. But I will say I am interested in the LARQ because of the UV light for killing germs that can build up in filters, but their products are very expensive. And their filters don't last long. You guys should send a sample of the filtered water to be tested to see if it actually does filter out what they say it does. Did you test the LARQ water with a TDS meter? One thing I don't like about the LARQ is that the filter doesn't remove fluoride. But the Zero Water filter does.

We've loved the LARQ - it's been a game changer for us. The replacement filters are a bit pricey, but they do an excellent job and the UV light has worked amazingly well. We're not phased that fluoride isn't filtered out of the water.

I'm super skeptical of this review. It does not feel genuine, feels like they are paid. There is not one downside or thing they didn't like about it. And the visuals with the app just feel professional like an ad. Going to look for an actual unbiased review vs something the company paid for.

I assure you the review is 100% genuine and we have not been paid for it. We love this filter, and couldn’t find a downside. If there is a downside the replacement filters are expensive. @@brandonalane I can confirm the pitcher itself since I recently received it yesterday! The water tastes clean and crisp! It’s slightly more better than the Brita filters by a long shot and I have been a Brita filter user myself more than a decade. Both filtered water tasted great but there’s something about the Larq filters that is hard to describe. To my taste buds, it tastes much more purer than Brita. I might convert to Larq! Brita is infamous for growing green algae bacteria in the bottom of the pitcher! With the UVC light from Larq, it will kill the bacteria from further multiplying! Btw, the new update version of the pitcher doesn’t come with the filter lid cover as the company confirmed they no longer producing it because of the aesthetic reason that serves no purposes.
@jennythai4900
@jennythai4900 5 ай бұрын
Downside I would say is the lid the water goes through when you fill it sometimes gets stuck and water just goes over the lid sometimes. It is a bit heavier than other pitchers too. I also find it doesn’t improve hard water/calcium levels as well as my old brita. I still can see it when I make my tea. But overall I like it

@@brandonalane so when someone gives a review and they don’t have any downside because they actually like it, it doesn’t seem true or what? I’m a freaking random guy and I don’t have any down sides either of this pitcher. If you disagree, fair enough.
