In the M16s early days (Vietnam) it was full auto but ammo was being sent downrange without being that effective and the amount needed to support that rate of consumption proved to be heavy to carry. So the US Army had it modified to shoot only 3 rounds per trigger press when in auto mode. That is probably what you're experiencing in-game. It's an attention to detail.

It's not an attention to detail. Back in the days there was no delay between the bursts in PubG. But players using macros were able to have a non human trigger finger making the gun completely op because of the fire rate. They implemented that delay to deny the macro abuse. That's all.

01:45 what do you mean by delay? If you have delay, your mouse button press timing is wrong. Do you mean that you spam quickly and it still stalls? It probably stalls for same reason, maybe you need to spam even quickier. I prefer timing intead of spamming.

I Got more kills in M16 now than in the past, why is it, did it get more stable and a little power? Stability especially with a suppressor is a beast in sniping even on 3 bursts. Try it with a 6x with reduce magnify then the bounce lessens dramatically and go for the 3burst sniping. Crazzzy!

It's not half bad close quarters with a comp or suppressor. But never had much luck beyond 25 meters.

Anthony iii in my experience this gun can be very good at medium to long range just learn the trajectory of the bullet and the speed

In my experience, in the longer ranges, it's like shooting marshmallows at them. They could take 5,6,7 hits before going down. At those ranges I prefer a DMR or sniper switching to spray if they're not behind cover. If options are limited, sure I'd use it in a pinch, but would swap put for a heavier caliber in an instant if the opportunity presents itself.

The m16 is fine lol there's nothing wrong with it lmao it's a burst fire gun of course it has a delay, u have to time ur shots with it, it's not a bug. Once u shoot a gun that burst fire in real life u would understand how it works better.
