Nice breakdown with the premiere frame by frame. I’ve the same situation as you where using both faction arty for lack of Liberty prototypes. I’ve configured the Marty for unit dmg and the Liberty for fortification, but I agree the Liberty being the better of the two overall. The key difference being that load time, most noticeable when going head on arty vs arty. The Marty load time is a major handicap. It’s all a bit ironic with martyr supposedly having the higher firepower, where the load time being a factor of that firepower is diminished. It kind of negates the martyr bonus completely leaving Liberty having a very clear and distinctive edge as the more compelling unit to have.

This is the video I wanted to see but also feared! I was so excited when I was finally able to modernize my 1st Martyrs Artillery unit only to find out later how much better the Liberty was. All the time I invested and wasted on the Martyr makes me sad. Finally got my Liberty arty up to 7.1 and can max it during next conquest. Will make the switch then. Great video! Thanks!

Enjoy your videos very much, both fighting and technical, I think most people currently build vs the prototypes they have as they equip officers vs what they have in the same way. Until more people start to max more units and are able to have different units in reserve, restricted gives that feeling for example we are first gold tier so I end up ‘spare units’

I don't know if it makes a difference, but you also have a skin on the Liberty Arty that gives you 7% firepower

Wonder if you could explain an outstanding query that no one else has been able to answer - damage v firepower. So whilst I know that damage increase (for example an officer skill) is better than firepower if both are say 20% increase, what is the ratio before choosing firepower is better? For example, if I chose 40% greater firepower, is this better than 20%, 25%, 30% damage increase etc?

very good video thankyou for showing everything in detail frame by frame. i will go for a martyr howitzer as a 2nd howitzer simply because of prototype pieces. a 9.0 martyr howitzer will always be better than a 7.2 liberty 😂
