This is actually the only video I have found with this newer tripod with adjusting resistance fluid head (TP75)

Having a removable head unit is very useful. One could make a MONOPOD from a Timber baton cut to the desirable length - which can be used in instances where the ground is somewhat wet or muddy - and it would not matter when the wooden Baton becomes wet or dirty - One could even enclose the bottom of the Hom-made monopod in plastic - or heat-shrink a plastic water bottle over the bottom part which is in contact with the ground. I have used such a method when taking photos of a football game - and sometimes the grass is somewhat wet - and of course I don't wish to carry a heavy tripod - let alone risking damage to it.

Thanks! If you have a cage for your camera you can screw the baseplate to one of the side screw holes on the cage.

Simple movements seem to be pretty smooth. I haven't tried quick panning movements though.

You seem to have been luckier than me with this item It seemed to be a good bit of kit so I ordered it. Nothing wrong with the pan function, but the tilt function is terrible. It doesn't start a tilt motion smoothly but rather starts of with a jerk - as it it's sticking. Absolutely useless. It's just gone back to Amazon. I already have a Vinten Blue head as well as a Manfrotto one. I just wanted something a bit lighter...

It has a bubble level on the tripod head but that's the only way to tell if it's level.
