Is The New Halloween Event TRULY MTX Free?

Jagex have nailed it with all of the seasonal events for me. It feels like the old events but more modern and without the annoying bits BUT - WIth halloween I dont like how rare the maze rewards are. I personally dont know why they make seasonal event rewards of that type so rare that it goes into hundreds of mills or billions. It seems unnecessary for a seasonal thing. It can still be somewhat rare to point it even reaches 50-100m but atleast then its somewhat reachable for everyone or self grindable to get yourself

Fomo does exsit in the event unfortunately. The remade 2003 scythe pet is rng + fomo. It is unfortunate that the scythe never made it back being an untradeable holiday item.

The event is nice but the rarity of the good rewards is absurd. Especially as an Ironman player, I can’t buy or access the pet skin overrides or reaper masks so if I miss out then I feel like I wasted a lot of time and effort

Dungeon delving th promo is mtx as hell. No random chance for tokens, but guaranteed tokens after spending like 40 keys. Like hot damn

I like this event. I don't feel FOMO as I'm playing non-holiday content. Like killing 1,000 Cadarn elves for title for comp cape.

Its an unpopular opinion probably that Jagex should sell items directly but I think its a sound suggestion after the event is over. I think they should give players an option to buy old cosmetics from these events in solomon's store or get them in the following years event. Perhaps they could release the cosmetics from the previous year into the store the following year so that the new event and cosmetic dump happens at the same time. With treasure hunter, my opinion probably is more unpopular but I think having old cosmetics in it isn't a bad thing either. The trick is to ensure that whatever cosmetic exists doesn't only come through treasure hunter and has multiple channels that a person can obtain them from. Of course at the end of the event, only the solomon store items should remain but at least it gives players choices during the event.

FOMO shouldn't really apply to events that happened 12+ years ago. Yes, I understand that I am indeed the asshole when I say this, but I really don't like it when they re-release holiday items from before 2012. I don't mean to gatekeep, but these were some of the only nostalgia tokens left. Going forward, yeah, everything should be re-released. But absolutely no one should be complaining about FOMO. That's just absurd.

I don't get it. If other people get an item, your nostalgia disappears somehow? I started in 08 when the Warlock/Witch outfit came out but missed it. No bonds, had to pay for members and internet was less accessible back then. Hope they add that next year. I played when I could back then.
