For me, Nolan is probably balanced. I guess, the CC escape in ult and the probable unli dash might look overpowered, But remember. Just like all assassins, he falls of the late game and are SUPER dependent in teamfights. He doesn't rip through tanky heroes too without defense or dominance ice cream if vs sustain. So i guess this is my build and emblem. Tough Boots (Flame Retribution) Blade of Heptaseas Hunter Strike Endless Battle Brute Force Chestplate (or BOD for more attack) Immortality (or Malefic Roar if there is 3 or more tanky enemies) Emblem Assasin Rupture Seasoned Hunter Lethal Ignition Prioritize 1st skill and max it, and take advantage of the ultimate, since it is a huge kit for escaping CC effects Also, since his CD is so short, you might still need to go for the CD reduction items since you will need to spam skills a lot because Nolan is a Skill dependent hero.

​@suhaylazmin9112 Nolan has a crushing early game aaaaaand that's it? No more after that. Lancelot is a mid game hero, he needs one item or two to shine but falls quickly. Ling is a mid to late hero, his early is kinda ass as he deals little damage. Nolan is pure early, he's extremely squishy even after building sustain items. His damage scaling isn't that good except for his passive, which becomes hard to trigger after mid game. Tanks and fighters can properly counter him. If you think it's easy to just go for the mage or adc, kill, and then go out I guess you play on legend or low mythic, since in glory it gets a lot harder to do so.

I am okay with Nolan being designed as an early-game hero. Although he is strong (I've fought Nolan a few times), he is weak against a tankier composition and can fall off hard in the late game. Honestly, I tried him and it's either I steamroll and help end the game in ten minutes, or I struggle hard and end up having a lower grade because of how the enemy team builds and rotates against me, regardless if I win or not. There's no in-between.

Imo nolan is strong against an enemy lineup that are slow and dashless But if the enemy lineup is tanky and is quite fast they can easily escape from his rift and lower his DMG output. Also preferably you have a tank roamer in your team since Nolan doesn't have good sustain

Absolutely agreed with you.. Nolan is just Fanny with low mechanic skill,, he always needs purple buff before going to fight/war.. High tier players will find it easy to counter Nolan... But if u playing solo just lock him with Hilda from the first start

Tbh Nolan is probably the best early assassin so much so that enemy can't catch up or farm, although he's really lacking if he doesn't get blue buff and it goes late game(est. 21+ mins)

Early game he is unmatched. But he scales terribly. By mid game, he basically becomes a roamer running around chasing buffs and escaping ganks. Benedetta owns him so hard it's crazy

Nolan is the worst hero montoon has ever released. You don't need skill to play him. You don't have to worry about getting simple cced. You don't have to worry about energy management. You just press all and any skill and you will atleast get 1 kill. He will be fun to use at first but after some time, he will become boring as hell. Old heroes like Guison and chou are still used a lot coz they have a skill level that you need to have to use them. It feels worth having spent all those time to learn him. But if there's nothing to learn about a hero, why would anyone even bother using him. They can simply pick him as a 2nd or 3rd choice. And funny thing is Nolan will get a nerf very soon so his hype will die even faster.

Nolan is a promising hero, however, his energy costed a lot. Though I tried to mix skill one and two and make a combo, i still somehow lost a lot of energy. Btw great video as always

You need to make use of two things: his Enhanced Basic Attack (EBA), and his ult. These basically gives you a free Rift, and any Rift explosion that hits any hero gives you some Energy. So with a good combo that starts with EBA and uses the ult somewhere in the combo (ideally when you need to remove CC), that's a lot of Energy gained. Also blue buff is pretty much mandatory.

I actually Nolan was the best Assassin when I first played him but when I actually started using it continously then I notice that he gets countered by every other Assassins and Fighter, he was too squishy and has no life steal, even if you build endless battle it mainly didn't work for him that's why I didn't used him and just let the enemy pick him cause I notice him being easy to counter

Ive played a few matches with him and from experience you should only use his ult to either finish off someone or escape. Using it mid combo puts you really far away and makes you waste 1-2 energy bars just to get back to them. You could use it to jungle as it has a really low cd. And to answer your question ive "watched" frieren, although not the anime, but a recap of the manga. I didnt even know it was getting animated, i just found it randomly and watched it before everyone started talking about it. The channel mightve been Actiontoon although i dont really remember for sure. Just checked its Actiontoon 2

Fun fact i realised a few daya ago Minsitar ult triggers windtalker on ALL 4 of the little dudes So you can basically build windtalker , haas claws , berserkers fury , dragon spear , blade of despair and 1 def item of your choice Combine that with fury battle spell and you can get a savage as long as you pull all 5 enemies

nolan skill's cd is very low and can be exploit liked how pro player using lancelot,semi- tank build. easily can exploit true damage from true damage item( endless battle&thunder belt) and even easily can reach full stack for both war axe and brute force. but sadly he really needs blue buff because of the energy.

I really like Nolan. Mostly play with a semi tank build. You can easier manage his energy by only using skill 1 for jungling.

He doesn’t feel that strong. Maybe against other assassins, but he definitely loses to tank junglers. Opinion might change in a few weeks once players learn to play him instead of people just playing 2-3 matches in classic and then straight to rank.
