Find out if the Ninja Creami Breeze NC201 is really an upgrade! If you liked this video, you might like this Ninja Creami Deluxe review video, too: • Ninja Creami DELUXE Fr...
In May 2023, Ninja released their brand new and improved Ninja Creami Breeze ice cream maker. Not only does it make ice cream, but you can do shakes, gelato, sorbet, smoothie bowls, and all sorts of other frozen desserts and treats. The biggest difference between this new Ninja Creami Model and the previous ones is that Ninja has managed to make it a little more quiet, more compact, and have eliminated the need for the pitcher that you previously had to drop your pints into for processing. This is the fourth version of the Creami in as many years, and to this day they still are the only ones to have been able to mimic the very expensive, yet industry standard Pacojet. It handles all kinds of jobs really well, and is a better option for making frozen things. Check out this video and you'll be able to see why!

The reason some people get plastic shaving in their food isn’t because it’s sorbets. It’s because you need to shave the hump that sometimes forms after freezing with a spoon before mixing. That hump can cause the blade to tilt and shave the bowl a little. That’s all it is.
@JoesPhenomenal
@JoesPhenomenal Жыл бұрын
That makes sense, too. I've shaved sbrough thta plenty of times and haven't had any issues though.. Maybe just lucky. In any case, I'm sure Ninja knows about it and needs to maybe stick a label on the pint mentioning it... Will probably save them some warranty calls, anyway.

@JoesPhenomenal

@srmarketto that might be worth trying out.... Also if you are hearing your ingredients like I do, it helps to let them return all the way to room temp before popping in the freezer.

@thisblackgirloverhere9013 *"That hump can cause the blade to tilt and shave the bowl a little. That’s all it is."* I'm sorry but IMO you're downplaying a serious issue by saying, "That's all it is". Nobody wants to consume plastic and there shouldn't be a learning curve on what to do to prevent that. That's a terrible design and oversight on Ninja's part and should not be excused.
@tommihommi1
@tommihommi1 2 ай бұрын
the hump has nothing to do with the plastic shaving issue. The ice cream or sorbet can ball up above the blade inside the container, and then go in circles around the shaft, pushing it to the side and causing the shavings.

That would be a great way to clean it, I think.. That's How I clean my blenders (with a little detergent also). That probably wouldn't help up if there is anything that got past the rubber seal and is just sitting up inside the machine though, I think... It's worth doing anyways though. Good tip!

I have the original Creami and the lid drives me crazy trying to clean it. I didn't realize at first that the ice cream was actually getting into the lid. It was pretty gross with no real way to clean it out. Took a long time of running straight hot water thru all the holes I could find on the lid. Ninja needs to do something about this lid issue.

Great video. I have one more thing to add to your very detailed assessment. In another video, it is revealed that the internal parts of all three machines are IDENTICAL. This includes the motor and motor controller. From the outside, it looks like the only real differences are in firmware and the drink functions. The drink models are obviously not going to be tilted because of the issue of spillage. Also, the other models with the pitcher would seem to make sense, if they are intended to catch any possible liquid leakage. Just my personal opinion here: As wonderful as the drink features are, the Ninja is a pretty crummy frozen drink machine. If you want to make a shake, a slushy, or a coffee drink there are far faster, cleaner, and more capacious ways to do it. This thing requires you to freeze drink liquids in the special container, add things, mix in things, and then process them for 2-3 minutes. At the end of it, you get a dinky, pint-sized drink and you have to disassemble, clean, and dry everything. I see no compelling reason to not just buy and use a good-quality blender for drinks. You need to have a blender anyway, since the Ninja Creami isn't a substitute. This smaller Ninja is the one I want. While its about the same footprint as the others, it does seem a bit sleeker and less imposing on the counter. The simpler coupling system is a total winner. Thanks for another excellent review!
@JoesPhenomenal
@JoesPhenomenal Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Agree with ya... I wouldn't want to wait a day to make a slushie or frappé or something like that... Unless I already had coffee ice cream or some sorbets or something made... But then I'd have to process the down to make room for the liquid.

Very valid cocerns, Howard. Thanks! I haven't had any issues yet with any of the creami machines in house yet (we have all 3), so I've been trying to look more at the plastic shaving thing to see if there's more to that. The shaft, as far as I can see seems to stay really clean, so maybe the rubber seal is sufficient? Who knows.... works ok on automotive stuff to do it that way, I suppose. That breeze really is a lot more quiet, but by no means is a "quiet" appliance if ya know what I mean!
@Howard_Hunter_

@@JoesPhenomenalI hear ya! My Vitamix is plenty loud. It's neat that you can turn a solid into ice cream, but, that's just another means to achieving the same goal. Along with some other people, My CN205A (Breeze model) broke after 6 days of use. The machine actually smoked - the shaft and paddle stripped. This is not a case of user error. Now this model is not available on the Ninja site - they are selling NC201. Still waiting for my replacement after 2 weeks.

The answer is NO, I had mine about about three weeks until the motor started to smoke and the blade would fall off in the cup and not come up. Ninja couldn't replace it because they where out of stock. But they did send me a new 501 c as a upgrade for the replacement . I think the problem is the angle of the motor creates more stress on the motor causing to much friction and that is why it failed.

It's the same size as the original ones (1 pint/2 cups). Instead of dropping it into an outer pitcher like the older ones, the actual pint container has slots on the outside of it, and it connects straight to the machine. The lid is a little smaller and better though.

I don't worry toooo much about the spindle. The rubber seal is pretty decent, and also, you'll notice that when it processes, it pushes everything away from the center, so most of the ice cream doesn't really stick too much on it. Just have tobe mindful to clean that gear on the end really well, and also the inside of the blade. Wish it was easier to clean the inside of the lid though.

Take a look at the lid that goes on.top of the pitcher. It's the part that the blade rests in. On the outside of it on the top, there is a little nub that pops up with it locks into the creami. That nub can get broken off, and if it does, the creami won't know it's locked in there. Happened to me one time with my original creami and had to replace the lid.
