This lady is the best CBC sports reporter in Football. She knows her stuff so well. I have been reading her columns on the Women’s World Cup 2023. Her analysis is always spot on!!

Nigeria has the history of owing players both male and female. The basketball federation owe them so much that some the players had to quit. In the time of Okocha, some of the players have to pay for their own air ticket to come for camping

I totally agree with this lady, whoever she is representing. She is speaking the absolute truth. I remember the NFF not paying the Super Eagles in the world cup in 1998, in France. That led to the Super Eagles losing the match against Denmark, because they were up all night trying to press the federation to release their money, which they had earned. The federation is cheap. They are cheaters and want to keep the money that rightly belongs to the players. Shame on them. Go Super Falcons!

FIFA gave every player on every team that qualified $30, 000. In Nigeria, South Africa and Zambia, the federations played games with that money. Nigeria and South Africa threatened to boycott the tournament, and the players received their money. These countries have been to the World Cup and the players understand how this works. The Zambian players were naïve, and by the time they started protesting it was too late. The leaders of the protest, who were the number 1 goal keeper, and the assistant team captain, were announced to have come down with mysterious "illnesses" which necessitated their removal from the team for the duration of the tournament. The player complaints reached the president, who arranged for the government to pay the players half of what FIFA allocated them. Meanwhile, the FA has never explained what happened to the money that came from FIFA. Everyone saw the disaster that resulted on the field against Japan and Spain, where Zambia lost 5-0 each time, before scraping a meaningless 3-1 win against Costa Rica in the final game

Great job coach and outstanding performance to the girls, inspite of ungrateful bunch of Nigerians who had no faith until the began to see results. Nigerian sports administrations needs to upgrade their mentality of always dealing with foreign coaches in substandard ays, these folks are not Nigerian who put up with our bullshit like Nigerians do to the unnecessary interferences and emotional decision making of NFF who want to interfer with their old school outdated knowledge. Then always wanting to shortchange the people who play and put their lives at state....As for WAFCON, let's not forget that the team was still new. So if we need to have a quality team, we need to learn to maintain to sustain teams by keeping coaches for at least 4 to 5 years to help develop tacticality. Pardon me if I speak like a Nigerian who's been in the states for so long...but Nigerians should quit expecting people to sacrifice for their country without duly investing in them. We yearn for results but refuse to do what England, US, Germany etc does to nurture and PAMPER their players...whereas we have money to fund unnecessary official who have to direct physical roles in when the tournament begins, yet they're paid a lot of $$$$s. We need more coaches like this that'd tell our narrow-minded outdated official the honest truth. Jah bless y'all.

Go support them then go watch their game, improve their audience attendant. You don’t expect to get paid with a stadium fill up with just their family. Fill the stadium the TV ad, the displayed on TV. All these feminists support with their mouth but would rather invest to see men’s matches instead of women. Support them by watching them It’s simple as that.

They care for once because they were analysing the overall stregths and motivation of their opponents which at this time was Nigeria. Wouldn't you care if the potency of that pay policy may have contributed to effort that may have caused Canada as tNigeria's immediate opponent to drop 2 points?

@Anonymous-tx6ef

@obdanny2000 yes, they both dropped 2 points. But bookmakers and analysts will put the loss more on the favorite as a draw could be considered a win in some instances for the underdogs.
