Although I don’t have a Onn pro box I have loaded a few for friends. I have found them to be pretty good and one thing I like about any Onn box is after you load your apps you can switch them to “apps only” through the settings and only what you put on plus a couple others that came installed will show up! No advertising or suggestions! Btw Tanya ❤the hands!

I bought a couple as I'm replacing my fire devices...not my cubes though. I've been bingeing an older series on a side loaded app with a VPN and mine run flawlessly. They are both hard wired and have yet to buffer. I love mine.

i got one of these while on holiday in the usa a couple of months ago i found it easy to set up and use i loaded kodi with no problem. prior to this i used the new fire stick 4k max 2nd gen, that now sits in a drawer if you go on holiday to the states buy the walmart box for 50 dollars you cant go wrong

I have been running the ONN 4K pro for a few weeks now, haven’t had any issues. Frustrated with Amazon on my fire stick 4K. I’m really quite happy with it, and I haven’t had any difficulties with performance relative to the fire stick, but I predominantly only stream videos on a relatively small screen, so may not need all that extra power. One question I have an have not seen a video yet is about the Assy and security of the ONN versus the fire stick. For instance, is the ONN tracking third-party app usage, etc. I love your videos. Oh, and I do always use a VPN One more comment - one thing I particularly like is the button in the upper right hand corner of the remote (I have the newer one with backlighting) as I have set that to launch the wolf launcher and make it my de facto home button.

I am still more than happy with my Apple TV 4k box. It ouperforms anything else that i have tried, Amazon are still trying to catchup and are only interested in collecting your data. Here in the UK the Onn does not work with Channel 4.

Tanya, on both my Onn4kPros the big front button is the "Find my Remote" button, not the Power On/Off button. Maybe they did a firmware update to rhe Front big button?

The streaming boxing is a lot better than the firestick 4K Maxx in my opinion. I had the Google Chromecast and I get a lot faster download speeds on the ONN. It's a lot quicker and I like the lost remote feature. I actually got the updated remote with the big free TV button and it's backlit. This is probably the best streaming box I've used to date

This will not be available in the UK. As per my review, Fire TV devices are still best for UK viewers in my opinion. However, if you want something similar to the onn. Box in the UK, you can check out a MECOOL or Chromecast, or the new Google TV Streamer that's just hit the market.

I have better luck with the ONN with subtitle rendering. Fire Stick has been hit or miss. Same with my chromecast. Suspecting it was a memory allocation issue, I bought the ONN. It has mostly been a hit.

Very good job. I might go back to Fire Stick. This remote lacks Play, Rewind, and Fast-Forward buttons, which work best in some apps. Pairing other remotes hasn't helped.

​@@michaelcrippen3733it kinda depends on what device you got. My geekbench test returned scores much higher than the ones she attained but still lower than the firestick 4k max 2nd gen. Side by side however they run at relatively the same speed. Almost no noticeable difference in real life even running my sideloaded apps. However I do prefer the included backlighting, find your remote, and google smart home features offered out-of-the box with the Onn Device... That plus the additional storage makes it more than worthy a competitor to the the 4K max. Its just not *killing anything, especially not the cube. Best experience I've had with Google TV tho, never owned a Shield device... Plus I was just replacing the old regular 4K stick from one of my TVs and thought "I like Google TV UI better"

I can't get the "onn. Google TV 4K Pro Streaming Device (New, 2024)" to recognize four of my USB external drives, telling me they're corrupt. Three of them are 2 & 4TB Crucial X10 (exFAT, unpowered), and Sandisk 4TB (exFAT, unpowered). The fourth drive is an 8TB Seagate backup drive (NTFS, powered). The 2TB also failed to even be recognized while connected to a powered dock. However, the Onn. does recognize a 256GB Sandisk thumb drive (exFAT). Do you have any ideas on how to get my portable SSDs working? I'll probably return the Onn. if I don't get it figured out soon. Thank you!

As far as I'm aware, your external drive must be formatted to FAT32 or exFAT and shouldn't be larger than 1 TB.

It is a really good and cheap device with strong performance, google app options, but it doesn’t have a good video quality as fire stick’s presented, especially when you play hdr videos the whole picture presented as a veiled, grey tune, not sharp and clear as fire stick can do, if you prefer good video quality, fire stick will still be a better option.

I got mine finally and I have to tell you it's not what it's cracked up to be. When you side load it doesn't recognize all the codes for different stores. However your store is the only one I could get and use. I just boxed mine back up and hooked my firestick back up. This is NOT worth all the trouble and cost to get.
