I’ve got rare tech if you want: because of how the game counts battle triggers, if you get a level three octopus and put a tiger behind it, the system gets tricked into giving it +8/+8 before each attack in addition to five to all enemies (doesn’t work on level 1 or 2 octo)

The tiger procs on each ability trigger, and the level 3 octopus triggers before each attack, but a lower level tiger uses the lower level ability, so the tiger triggers the level up ability before each attack. "Repeats the ability" seems to ignore the original ability's trigger and just takes its effects; as long as the animal in front triggers any ability.

NL I just saw the craziest tech in one of my games. My opponent put a 1 up on their scorpion so it broke melon armor then came back with poison (since they recently changed this I believe) and killed my best unit. HIGHLY recommend this tech, it's NASTY.

36:39 - NL sold a 12/11 level 2 mosquito with garlic instead of an 8/10 crab. If he had kept the mosquito, he had a 2/5 chance of breaking the buffalo's melon armor. This would mean that the first bus hit would've done 5 damage instead of 0, and the mosquito would of course do 4 more damage than the crab. The enemy buffalo had 9 HP when it fought NL's monkey. This means that the mosquito+bus would've just barely killed the buffalo before it killed his monkey. He probably wouldn't have made it to 10 wins due to his subpar scaling, but because he had 5 wins when he lost the game, keeping the mosquito would've had a 2/5 chance of paying out believers. This has only reaffirmed my belief that any suboptimal play, no matter how slight, will always make you just barely lose.

@@johnathanroth6205 Don't get me wrong he's really good and I've learnt a few things from him BUT I will say that he often overrates certain units and doesn't replace when he ought to and he also still underrates a pill. I'm telling you early game when ever you see a pill just freeze it, so good for ants and also just good to have a pill ready when you see a turtle in the shop, early melon armour on a unit you plan to take late game is ridiculously strong. He tends to overrate garlic relative to melon. Imo there's no such thing as "too early a melon" so long as you don't plan on selling it in the next 3 turns. It probably means very little to you without proof but I have like 31hrs in the game and got 10 wins on 2/4 matches in dlc when I played earlier tonight.

I will say that midgame it's much harder to determine which units to replace if you don't already have a defined build than it is to do so in the late game. Pills are super underrated and I almost always go for pill+turtle, or pill+flamingo both of which are good choices.

A cool feature for this game could be to be able to stack honey on a unit so you can have a higher level bee pop out. Have a separate bar for the honey level. And if it breaks the game they can lower the spawn rate of honey by a little bit

Damn I never upgraded leopard so I didn't realize it wasn't just more damage, but that's kinda cracked. Level 3 leopard with tiger for 6 splash hits of 10+ damage, you're bound to take out a snake or a turkey or something.

nah though new tiger only means you repeat the level 1 effect of th eleopard so it would be 3 splash hits + 1 from the tiger. Interestingly though, just learned from a comment above that you can run tiger with level 3 octopus and then the octopus gains +8 +8 before each attack which is kinda insane on top of dealing 5 damage to all enemies. Got an lvl 3 octopus once and it was super broken with some stats and melon armour.

@@bingbong2179 but the new tiger is also upgradable, so this does apply if you have a level 3 tiger. Slightly harder to achieve, but easier than 2 level 3 Leopards plus it's only one animal to focus the attack buffs into.

Parrot is underrated because it's just worse than tiger, but the potential of a built up parrot allows you to change your team to basically anything and immediately have the level 3 version. Like if you randomly get a turkey while running a different team, you can immediately go for a summon build with just that level 1 turkey, a level 3 parrot and some level 1 summon animals, if you randomly get a shark you can just place the parrot at the end and it'll buff itself crazy - +6/+3 *4 = +24/+12, which goes even further if you also have summon animals, or even hippo or boar you could have them act as a semi scorpion in the front, and if the parrot has high stats because you built it up, it'll use their ability well.

Have you ever considered going for a lvl 3 eagle? You can put a 1-up on it, pill it, get a random level 3 and a pillable lvl 3 eagle back

By the time you get level 3 eagle+1up+pill, you’ve already hit tier 6 animals.

@@blake2861 ye exactly but you can't just buy a level 3 tier 6. You have to buy 9 of the same tier 6 animals/chocolates to get a a level 3. So two level 3s is 54 gold, but with eagle pill 1 up, 2 level 3s is now 31 gold. 3 lvl 3 tier 6s is 81 gold vs. eagle pill for a total of 35 gold. 27 gold vs gambling 4 gold for the tier 6 you want at level 3. You have better odds of getting a one-up/pill combo compared to getting 9 of the same animals/chocolates. Basic math

Tiger makes the unit in front of it use the ability twice vs the parrot copying and then using the ability on its own. If you did tiger snake, the snake shoots twice each trigger but parrot snake only lets the parrot have the snake ability and won't trigger when the snake triggers
