For a truly "portable" power station, I think the E1500 really hits that sweet spot of size, weight and performance.

I think you're right and that's why it's quickly become one I think to carry -- I like the Oupes because it's lighter and I'm broken but I love the rubberized aspect of this one and it's got just that much more power too...

The warranty is 5 years 2 plus 3. They give you 3 years extra when you register the product. I have 3 of their e2000's, 2 of their expandable bats. Those expandable batterys also have 400 watt mppt charge controllers in them. I also have 2 of ther e600's. I just got their e3600 which is a monster for 1200 bucks on a black friday deal its expandable to 1500kw's and has 2 1200 watt solar inputs with the et60 connections. I just think they are best budget friendly product out there that are quality. I use mine 24/7 for 2 years now they just work well.

Ah ha! That makes more sense. Would be more clear to say 5 years with registration.

Great review. I just bought my first powerstation - Jackery 1000 plus - black firday deal (before seeing pecron and oupes). I am not happy with Jackery unit, flakey. AC charging several times wouldnt not go higher then 300w charging. I am returning the Jackery and it Pecron is alot more affordable then the opes when adding one add-on battery. LOVE your reviews. I work in telco business and deal with DC alot, your reviews are down to earth and very usable.

I love it, got one myself. You need to look at the minimum voltage on the 700w solar input. You can still do what you’re wanting to but you’ll need to bump up the voltage. These run off of 48v internal battery.😊

@@TheOldJarhead I have a Pecron 1500 and an etaker1000 and I'm trying to figure out how to get the 700W for charging but it seems like I would need an XT60 to GX cable? I'm not sure if that is a thing but I'm starting to think this power station won't work well with fast charging using an alternator charger...any thoughts would be much appreciated 🙏

Great video man, thank you 👍 I ordered a few Ecoflows during this black Friday sale, but I'm really considering picking up a Pecron. Either the 1500 or 3600 (which does have the xt60 solar inputs.) Keep up the good work o7

I was trying to decide between a Pecron E3600+1 battery and building my own 16kwh pack. I really like the features on the 3600, the 150v MPPTs, reasonable kwh, almost reasonable battery prices but it was just too good to pass up building my own pack. $0.13/wh for the DIY battery (16x EVE MB31 cells from Georgia, 1 case+BMS from China, all shipped for about $2000) I wish they would come up with a standard for battery connection where we could make our own packs and use them. One way to 'do that' is to use them on the MPPT inputs but you won't be pulling as much power from them as if they were properly connected.

I am new to this game and I just received my Jackory 1000 v2 and it is awesome; 5 complete stars in the review. At 69 I still enjoy tent camping and it runs my fan, refer, and radio just great. The regular charge time just takes an hour and a half. Price $420 only 24 lbs. I cannot find what the E1500LFP weighs?
@TheOldJarhead
@TheOldJarhead 14 күн бұрын
The Jackery 1000v2 is smaller than the Pecron 1000wh vs 1500wh, so the Pecron outweighs it by 16lbs, which makes sense.

Have you checked the Pecron app to see if they've updated it to allow you to turn down the AC charging input wattage? 1500W without a way to turn it down is a non-starter for me. The E1000LFP has the feature, but the E1500LFP did not as of initial release. I'm eyeballing this power station precisely because of the XT60 12V 30A DC output. Most cheap diesel heaters will trip the 10A cigarette outlet on startup; 10A just isn't quite enough for these heaters. Plus, you could build yourself quite the set of DC fused circuits with 30 total amps. Think about plugging this device to power a camping trailer's DC circuits without using the AC to DC converter. The E1000LFP also has XT60 12V DC out, but it's 20A, which is enough to run a diesel heater. As another old Jarhead, I appreciate you saying, "Out" when you're finished. "Over and out" bugs the snot out of me 🙂

You have to buy one of Pecron's external 600 or 300w bricks to get slower AC charging. I charge mine with a 100w brick.

The 2+3 warranty is a common ploy to get people to register their devices with the manufacturer by giving additional years, 3 in this case, of warranty by registering. If you don't register, you would only get 2 years, while registered people would get 5.

There is a reason to not use the same type of connector (xt60) for an Input and Output. 50% of users can't be bothered to read the manual so someone will plug solar panels into the 12V 30A output. Oupes made this mistake using a anderson for both solar input & 12V 30a output.
