yea, the only downside here in ph is the electricity its very costly depending on the place or city, here in my province we have a bill for almost 100$ a month even though we only have 2 monitors, tv, computer, fan,aircon and ref

Im Italian i Live in the Philippines for So many years now and if im being honest the negative about this country its something that wont affect the Tourist . People are great 10/10 out of all the country i visited . The food wer great, the weather is 50/50 because half of the year is rainy . People saying about scam but i havent experienced it not even My other foreigner friends who lives in the Philippines .. the only bad side about this country is the government . Politicians here are Very corrupt. Other than that i havent experienced bad.

Safety is always a matter of place and time, like Marawi didn't used to be safe place on the account of ISIS being there for a while until they wasn't so now its very safe and that was the same for Mindanao for a while since a lot of insurgency groups resided there until we finally achieved peace between all sides, again time and place if there's an influx or crime or violent activities generally an area won't be safe like there once a time when Tondo used to be a place notorious for cartels and all that stuff but its since died down and recently the most minor criminal activity that goes through there is theft or altercations between violent people(there always exists violent people in every country, the difference is in the Philippines they won't involve an innocent bystander let alone a foreigner because even they think it would set a bad precedent). Although I wouldn't say the same for traffic, Manila is always congested because its a hugely populated area in a tight condensed delta area you will be hard pressed to experience a day in Manila where the roads are more flowing, everywhere else in the Philippines traffic is almost never an issue, that's usually a city problem but even then its not as bad as Manila where its always frequent

Philippines is the promised land for rich Filipinos only foreigners can't own lands & full business ownership in PH (the 60/40 Filipino first policy) Foreigners can be granted PH citizenship if born & raised in PH like the prominent Spanish Ayala family which is not the case of most foreigners PH is not the land of opportunity for foreigners to invest or settle
