Yes, Edge is great controller with awesome customization software. I only use one back button (paddle) and its enough for me in MW2. Battery is good, i play 2-3h and i lose only 1 bar / level. R2 and L2 buttons are amazing for FPS games one of my favorite things on this controller. Analogs is better than on standard dualsense, analog spring is different. Thumbsticks are also next level grip and comfort.

Yeah, I agree, particularly on the triggers, a really nice touch. I've actually started using it hardwired with the lock as well, as I play on a monitor rather than a TV, so I don't have to worry about it running out of battery mid-game.

I've never been a massive fan of grips to be honest, because they can wrinkle when you apply them! I don't find the DualSense Edge too bad grip wise, the patterned detailing on the triggers help.

How comfortable is the controller to hold? Because really that’s the only appeal I have of this controller. I play claw, I’m not buying this controller for paddles or back buttons. Dropped the ball on the battery and only two back buttons. I went with Extremerate RISE4 for a quarter of the cost and double the buttons. Don't need any of the other stuff, although I will say the replaceable sticks are a great idea, both for the consumer and the business.

After 5 months my left stick had drift, repaired it once & lasted maybe a couple weeks. It came back, took it apart again and something happened that made it unfixable this time as it's sticking all the way to the left. Ended up ordering the Edge minutes later

Yeah, the do the same thing, but they're part of the replaceable stick modules so they've probably done it so you can use any stick module on either side. I also think its probably a design decision to keep it symmetrical!

How long did it take you to get used to it? I have had an elite controller but I couldn’t get used to the paddles so I used it as just an expensive normal controller which is kind of removing the main purpose of the controllers capability

It took me a week or so to get used to using paddles on my previous controller, but couldn’t go back to a regular one now. Felt comfortable with the edge right away but that’s cos I had the muscle memory from before. It’s definitely worth persevering with it for sure!

I've only ever used 2 buttons before to be honest, I've never found a need for more than that! Took a bit of time deciding which attachments to use though, as they feel quite different from each other.

I just got my dualsense edge and I am a bit confused with the controller settings vs the MW2 settings. I've always had my MW2 aim response curve to dynamic. If I leave my controller curve as default yet my MW2 settings to dynamic will the controller 'override' the settings and now my MW2 settings become default? Or will I also have to change my edge controller curve type to dynamic as well. Hopefully that makes sense!

You can leave the MW2 settings the same as before, just set the controller settings to Precise -2. Check the Edge settings video on my channel, it’s the best I’ve found after some testing 👌🏻

In order to replicate that would I keep my edge settings on default? Or would I have to change to dynamic as well to match the in game settinga.

@@dillonebenstiner You can increase the curve for Precise to +2/+3 which will help if you’re finding it too slow. Or dynamic on controller and in game will also work for quicker initial movements. I didnt change anything in game from what I had already.

I’m thinking about buying this for Modern Warfare 2.. everything is great for the og Dualsense.. one thing I just don’t like about it in MW2 is that when I press L2 for ADS.. it’s not instantaneous. There’s like a split second delay before it goes ADS, prolly because of the animation??? It’s kind a similar in this video when you are practicing in the firing range..so I guess it won’t make a difference as well??? It’s just how MW2 is set-up? Playing Apex and Fortnite.. I don’t have a problem with ADS.. it’s almost instantaneous.

Ive tried the kontrol freek tension rings, it does help a lot, but I've found the stick extensions better for me as I have a more smooth and yet free range of movement if I need to do a. 180. I've the edge and still prefer the stick extensions over the provide dome ones. Question, have you tried quick - 5? Makes the aiming very smooth, almost mouse like, yet snappy. I'll give - 2 presice a go.

I heard you can only increase deadzone not decrease!?! But also there’s different profiles for the analog sticks. For example the quick profile makes your anolog sticks react more dramatically. Just skip to the 2 minute mark

Good review over all. Rn I‘m in betwee choosing the DualSense Edge or Razer‘s Wolverine V2 Pro i think its called for ps5. I really love the extra 2 buttons razer provides next to R1/L1 since i find them easy to reach and placed perfectly. The paddle style i like more from the Edge (also being able to choose between paddles and essentially buttons is a plus). The fact that Razer switched the lefthand joystick to the xbox layout doesnt bother me too much, however, i do prefer Playstation if i had to choose a favourite. Yes, Razer technically provides 6 extra remappable buttons (also something they highly advertise ablut the controller) i dont see it as such a huge edge because i see myself using AT MAX 4 of those 6 and even then probably less. Also i much prefer to have a concave surface on my joysticks, which razer provides in high quality metal that slide into place with a magnet while playstation chose a flimsy plastic stick that kind off.. snaps into place from what i saw + they do not provide any convex extra sticks. I‘m still not sure like i mentioned, however, feel free to let me know your opinion if you care to weigh in on my current dilemma. Have a nice day.

I got tired of my scuff controllers wearing out so quickly and I just decided to give the dual sense edge a try and see if it’s a bang for it’s buck. Honestly it surprised me especially since I also got 2 extra joysticks for when stick drift happens so it’s a money saver. The paddles are also very responsive which is great!

Honestly for FPS games I think you should get a scuff. They have that mouse trigger reflex and you don’t need had to feedback for any first person shooter game. It’s not good. Trust me you can’t shoot as fast with a pistol. I have a really fast trigger finger but without that without that have the feedback, my finger is useless and I also have an itchy trigger finger so I need that instant click because when someone comes around the corner, I pop them in the face and he the lock trigger thing does not work as well as it is on paper I have both and I trade it. Trust me you’re not want to lock your trigger for any game maybe racing games you don’t want to put force on it but me I got two if I don’t put fours on it I’m gonna try to put 400 break the controller because I’m gonna feel like I’m not doing anything, it’s just my brain wired like that I react before I see yes I look at stuff but I’m more reacting to things that are happening. It’s just in my mind because I’m a call Judy swag if you are sweat by a control freak, it has four analog sticks, so you can put any key binds you want they can be removed just like the new controller, and if you pay extra if you really like to have the feedback you could get in on that controller but if you’re just a person that plays shooter games I wouldn’t I just doing it I’m a person that plays all game so I got heavy TV and I got it for Christmas so my mom got me everything on the list. I’m still trying to war con, what does gel stuff they sent me from scarf but yeah I’m just trying to help everyone else

I just received it today. At first use, I can say that it's an ok controller, but way too expensive for its quality. I also had Nacon and Razer raiju tournament edition before, which were cheaper. This Dualsense doesn't even compare to the quality of the other two materials. For example, on Nacon and Razer the joysticks were made of metal, and this makes a big difference to the movement and the way the joysticks feel when playing, while on the ps5 they are made of plastic, which are a little better than the standard controller. And the Nacon and Razer buttons were of a much higher quality than those from Dualsense. In my opinion, it is not worth $200 at all, so I will return it to the store where I bought it.

Yeah, that's a fair point on the materials used, they could have elevated it for the price point, but I think they focused their efforts on the interchangeable modules which will extend the lifespan of the controller. I think they feel solid compared to Scufs which are in the same price bracket.

Yeah, it's not great. I've recently done a 9 month review on the channel and this is a definite negative. For 'pro' (or beyond casual) players though you'll always be wired in to reduce input lag so I don't think it's the end of the world.
