Is The Playstation Edition Of MINECRAFT Any Good? | PS3 Super SLIM POV Gameplay Test |

Hello everyone welcome back. Now over the years Minecraft has managed to capture the audience across dozens of platforms with it's seemingly simple yet extremely addictive gameplay. And in this video we'll be checking out the Playstation 3 edition of Minecraft on our Super Slim. Now if you are coming from PC ot will take a few minutes to get used to the DualShock controller. But The crafting system is pretty simplified and you'll find yourself crafting and building in no time. The controls feels smooth and fluid so that's also a big plus. The downside is that the due to hardware limitations tje PS3 version of Minecraft has a considerably smaller world size at 863x863 blocks. That's not necessarily a bad thing as some players prefer smaller worlds.
So guys lets create our new world and test tje games visuals and performance on the PS3 super slim.

I've been putting quite a bit of hours into the PS3 version of this game over the past several weeks. I love playing in creative mode and trying to make various different styles of houses. My building skills aren't exactly great but I can still manage to build some pretty sizable structures.

I heard that because of the CELL processor in PS3, the worlds in minecraft can be generated very strange or even broken.

My friend world got really mess up when he took it over to ps4 and that world was made like 4 weeks after the game came out on ps3 and his world have a mine cart going across the whole world and basically dig out everything but because the world is bigger now it looks kinda weird

Cool video! Though I'd highly suggest you update Minecraft to the latest version It should allow you to do so after connecting your console to the internet Even if it's only at 1.13.2 on ps3 it's still miles better than the original 1.0 release

Do you get fps dips and occasional stutters?

No major FPS drops, as you can see

You will on the Ps3 version as it uses a double buffer vsycn so anytime the fps dips below 60fps it is halfed to 30fps causes a stutter like experience. The Ps3 rsx is simply not powerful enough to maintain 60fps at native 1080p in this game but it does a pretty decent job I think.

My ps3 controller got so beat up and I still have the first two controllers I got red and pink 😌 but they are basically dead 🥲 but now whenever I want to play on my ps3 I use the ps5 controller for most things 😌

@@SkvalaGaming the ps5 works perfectly on most games but on the first version of Minecraft on ps3 the joystick feel glued to the ground the character will barely move no matter how hard you try but on games like black ops 1 or 2 it works better in my opinion I use the ps5 elite controller and the preset setting you make on the ps5 controller will actually work on ps3 and I think that cool and help me aim better in old cods
