personally for a mod to warrant being paid for it should be highly creative more than just taking traits from one dino and throwing it on a base

It is going to change. Right now, they are doing more basic hybrids. As time goes on, they are going to be more and more creative. The two newest ones, the thorny dragon and Tapejara hybrid, are more creative than the old ones.

If it were Sid’s hybrids then there would be more of an argument for it, but tbh I don’t think “premium” mods should exist unless… nah they just shouldn’t exist, like it’s great for the mod devs to be getting funding but, a lot of it still goes to Snail Games, the people screwing up ASA to begin with

Recycling pre existing assets and kitbashing dino models together is significantly less impressive than making an entirely new dino from scratch. To then charge money for it instead of asking for donations like many other Modders just feels audacious.

I used to watch Axeman older Hybrid mod series from ASE That mod had unique models for most of the models It felt like a Premium mod This feels like the Amazon vs Wish meme

I love the idea, there are some Hybrids reminiscent of Jurassic World games. Carnoraptor is rather an iconic one, had the Stegoceratops in Jurassic World. As for it being worth it well yeah I know its a bit much work but would like to see more unique models for each hybrid, I know the copy-pasta kitbash is one thing but I agree, some of the dino feel abit lackluster.

The one thing I dont like is how weirdly the player sits on the hybrid, like for the spinoraptor the player was half inside its fin, and with the stegoceratops as well (must have been really uncomfortable for the guy). I mean its a premium mod, surely they could fix that so the 5 dollars are worth it, because its making it seem like a money grab, since the mod isnt really that original either since you mix 2 creatures together that already existed in the game

Trike + stego with trike base is just the thing from Jurassic world games, lol. And it's almost the only one that looks really ok

This one? No. Especially since they randomly abandoned the free version only to come back and make the paid version. Hopefully Sid ports over their hybrid mod cause that one had actual effort and would be worth the $5.

I covered this mod saying it was worth it cause I trusted the developer, only to find out later it was a completely different developer, I no longer trust it!

btw the spino,carno and raptor combo can jump and it is very powerful (i beat the center bosses only using 1 spinocaraptor)

I do personally like the size variation, like with the spinoraptor, how it was much bigger than a regular raptor. Now imagine putting a sabertooth and mixing it with a very large predator or herbivore like a rhino or a rex just a huge cat with a ton more damage.

they seem to take the stats of the parents like a mix, so nothing over the top OP tbh. But next time i will i do anything with creatures i will make sure to have some stuff on stats and dmg stuff.

In a Dingle cup, you used a hybrid mid, that was awesome. I'm personally usually not into it, but that one was great and free this one imo sucks and costs money. If you combine a raptor and a Spino and it can't even swim... Like faster than a raptor usually would .. Nah I wouldn't pay money for this. Thank you for the video though 😊❤

Considering Ark Omega for ASE had that feature for free and ASA version will probably eventually add it as well... no, probably not worth it. Unless it reaches the level of Sid's Hybrids. Or if it has something that can rival the glory of Omega's Alpha Otterworm

You get the spino water buff on the raptor, but do the carno genes give others the bleed, or did the raptor genes let the spino or carno jump..? That would be impressive

I do like this mod but I wish the creator gave them different abilities than reuse abilities like stegoceratops with a head ram and tail swip and carnoraptoe with a bleed and possibly others

Very few premium mods are "worth" it, and this one is definitely not. I wouldn't even recommend it. Now, I don't play ASA, and I don't plan on getting it anytime soon. That's right. I'm a fossil who plays the bug-ridden ancient version of ark. Now, if I for some reason did waste my money on a copy of a game I already have, I would steer clear from this "hybrids" mod. This looks like a toned-town cheap reboot of the actual GOOD ark hybrids mod in ASE. The models are lazy and horrible. And I would not spend $5 on a mod that includes a raptor with a sale, a somewhat smaller carno, 2 different spinos with very little design changes, and an anky that works the same way as the armadillo. So no. No, it's not worth it.

I would definitely not buy this mod, for a premium mod it does not get support, it has been nearly 4 months since the last update. There was also someone in the mod creator's Discord who posted proof of him paying for a hybrid to be made and he was ghosted by the mod creator. This seems extremely suspicious.

It always feels so hard to determine wether a mod is worth it's money or not. Especially since you often can't have a good first look at it before purchasing it, so it's nice that you're doing these type of Videos showcasing Premium Mods Also I hope it's okay to add one's own 5 cents to this: When reading the Title I actually thought "Oh hey cool! Another Hybrid mod!" but after watching the Video it's certain to say that my first bit of hype got a bit ruined after hearing you can only start making Hybrids after defeating Bosses. They should be available early game already, especially as they don't seem to be stronger as their Parents at all. Everything after dealing with the Bosses feels pointless to have imo. As Bosses are THE end-goal of the game🤔 And the Hybrids themself are well... a bit boring to be brutally honest? I've only done one Mod in my entire life, I can only imagine how much work it is to make a Creature mod, especially one that alters the look of them. But I do really hope the Modder will work on those Hybrids in the future because putting Carno horns on a Raptor is and calling it a new Creature/Hybrid is, truth be told, just not quite worth 5$ 😅

100% I feel these need a tlc and yeah have it late game after the bosses feels like shot in the foot. Functionality of creating the hybrids is awesome and I think a lot of time went it that more then the creatures. So personally I think if the creator had 6 hybrids to be made ATM that all felt unique and set a high standard for them would have been the better play

but... if you beat the game.. i mean you do keep playing but at that point you already have breed a ton of creatures and mutated some so i doubt these hybrids will even be worth the trouble?! Also most of these are either horrible or .... the changes are super pointless like the spino carno. This mod doesnt deserve the paid mod status at all.

Will never buy a paid mod. Greedy POS' showed their hand too early. £/$ 1-2 would have been justifiable. But some of these are just disgusting scams and if you stick your stuff on there I'll boycott it. Simple as that.

Some are defs not worth the price tag, other tho i feel deserve to have there mods to have premium price tag. Most of my mods i make will be free, i do have a premium map im going to work on but this will be something that i deem worth the price tag nothing less. Alot of these mods take alot of time and personally i dont mind paying if the mod is worth it. I will do videos like these for all no map premium mods(Leave them videos to homie Bey) so people can see what they are getting into

Not all mods, but there are paid mods now. And I'm all for some getting that premium tag since modding is a lot of work but I also can see some mods don't deserve the tag. So I'm always willing to showcase paid mods in this style so people can see what they are getting before buying
