I'm not even into beat'em'up, more a Shmup player, but I got to play The Punisher on my arcade lately and loved it. What other game in this genre retro or modern do you guys recommend? Only the best

I’m big into Captain Commando and Final Fight, AvP is good but I haven’t played it as much as those three to recommend it being in the same tier as those games

It is my favorite arcade beat em up. I am still waiting for an official release. I like short the levels are and the gunplay.

Yeah, it definitely is one of the best brawlers of its time, I was always a fan of Capcom brawlers, but The Punisher is something special - Capcom mixed all their finest elements and made them near perfect with The Punisher

Never knew there was a Punisher arcade game, but this looks really fun! I'm here after watching a video for the Sega Genesis port, and the arcade one just looks more polished.

I think the best thing about this game is it's not impossibly unfair like konami beat em ups, it's actually beatable on one life if your skilled, and in fact the game even will give you a special ending for beating it in one credit.

It absolutely is a great game, the pacing is perfect and the gameplay feels incredibly balanced.

I place The Punisher at the same level of Final Fight, Streets Of Rage, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dungeons and Dragons: Shadow Over Mystara and Vendetta; they all are excellent beat'em ups in their own unique way. For me playing The Punisher is almost cathartic, 'cause I'm from a country riddled with violent crimes (Mexico). Peace ✌️.

I just read that Capcom has removed some images from the game to make it more "culturally sensitive." Capcom wasn't quite specific, but the Twin Towers seen at the end of the game will definitely be removed.

I guess I get it, but part of me hates when retro games get altered like that as it takes away from the original intent of the game
