Interesting! But i would be interested in knowing if those non-arabic words were introduced at the point when the Quran was revealed or were those words already part of the spoken language amongst the people in that region? For example English has many words derived from Latin and German and i will say i speak English and the understanding amongst the common folk is that regardless of the root word, it's all just part of the English language now. If i wrote a book now in English and stated 'this book is in English', that is not a lie. It is English as understood by people now. When you look into the root words/borrowed words of course they're likely to have been derived from another language of a society that had an influence on that region. Another example, Urdu and Bengali have many words derived from Farsi but one doesn't say that the lanugauge is not 100% urdu or Bengali, the simple day to day understanding is that it's just Urdu and Bengali. I think all languages have this to some degree?

The etymology of the word before Arabic and its strategic placement in the particular part of the text and story line needs to be examined. Someone like my grandfather, who was a scholar and lecturer in 7 languages could better explain, why the word that was drawn from whatever previous existence and evolution through history and strategically placed in that particular spot in that particular line of discourse. For those who are fluent in 7 languages and scholars of etymology apparently it’s mind-boggling and awesome.

Exactly. Some words are derived from some languages but are so commonly used by another language that the speakers of the latter language not only know what the word means, not only use it regularly, but in some cases don't even know that it actually comes from the former language. I've experienced that first hand when an uncle of mine claimed a certain word was from my countries language but I knew that it was actually from Arabic. Islam influenced my ethnic country so much that certain words just became a part of my countries language as if they were my countries own.

Yes. I believe it's not something special to Arabic, all languages have words that come from somewhere or their root/origin is non-native but people now speak them as a common tongue and some words get incorporated deep in languages and eventually just become part of them.

The examples provided in this clip are proper nouns. Do the names get changed as well in the course of translation. Besides was Arabic as a language created in an isolated lab somewhere or is it also a cumulative result formed by human interaction , cultural exchange, experiences and even migrations - - like any other language or culture or cuisine … etc in the world. Is this even an argument. Is there any culture or language in existence which does not share few similar words and/or root words with neighboring languages which later became mainstream part and parcel of the said language

There's no such thing as 100% in a language. Languages are like rivers that collect and discard things (words and jargons) as they flow. When the Qur'an says it is an arabic Qur'an, what it really means is that it was revealed in arabic to an arabic speaking prophet from an arabic speaking community.

There are many scholars and believers that subscribe to the fact that Quran is in Quranic. Quranic is its own language. This is supported by the fact that there are words or series of letters that NO One ever, not even the prophet or Gabriel knew or was revealed the meanings. Many countries have incorporated Quranic words into their languages because there was no direct equivalent in their own language. Some Quranic words can not be fully translated without loosing the nuances and violin strings of the heart that the word or phrase effectively strums, so many languages simply introduced the word/ phrase into their own tongue/ language as a new never hence forth used before but now on is.

Loan words and borrowings are the nature of all languages. English is a wonderful example of Germanic syntax married to a vast corpus of Latin thanks to the Norman invasion. If this is used as a Trojan horse argument to insinuate a non-Arabian origin for the book itself, well that’s reaching, akin to accusing the Bard of not being the author of his many works because there’s Latin in them sonnets. “Qur’an” is clearly derived from the Arabic triliteral verb قرأ. But keep trying. We’ll entertain the effort.

English borrowed words from French after Norman conquest in 1066. The 'non Arabic' words in Quran were already present in Arabic of 6th and 7th century as Arab caravan traders had business ties in Syria, Byzantium, Persia and India. And those words u state to be of greec or Hebrew origins are actually aramaic words that where transmitted into greece when Christianity spreaded there.

Once I was that person too. The beauty of Islam is that you should be doing your research and trying to understand what you are believing and what it all means. The onus is on us all. The Quran was revealed to all not just a select few. Having arabic literature behind you does not make you an expert in arabic. You have a long ways to understand the depth of this language, its rhetoric and subtlities. The non-Arabic words, names, in the Quran have been absorbed by the Arabic language long ago before the advent of the Quran. So by nature, they became of Arabic use. This is the nature of languages, the friction of different ethnic groups allows the inclusiveness of specific words describing specific things in a specific culture cross culturally. The word 'Babel' is the Arabic rendering for the Chaldonian word Babylon. Unlike Christianity, even people's names are changed to sound germanic. Such, Paul for Saul etc... Now, to say that the word 'Quran' is non-Arabic shows your ignorance of the triliteral roots nature of Arabic words.

The Arabic language is the origin of languages: I would like to offer some comments on this video, which appears to have been recorded with the intention of casting doubt on the Quran. Despite the large number of Arabic books and references shown behind the speaker or maybe picture of Arabic books, I don't know why he did not show his understanding of the Arabic language and present this video in it. He spoke in English, maybe to mislead those who do not know Arabic well. The speaker has not conducted proper and sufficient scientific research, and I urge you, if you are searching for the truth, to do more research, as I cannot write everything here. The problem is that many of our Muslim scholars have accepted that the Quran was revealed in the language of Quraysh, which led them to claim that the Quran contains 275 non-Arabic words since these words were not in the vocabulary of Quraysh, not just the ones you mentioned with your victorious smile, but ignorance is a bless. Let me explain to you why you find many words used in other languages, in the Quran: Arabic is the mother of the Indo-European languages. There are many references to prove this, but I refer you to two books: The first book by Dr. Tahayya Abdel Aziz Ismail, 'Classic Arabic as the Ancestor of Indo-European Language and Origin of Speech' (the book is in English and the author spent 10 years writing it with the assistance of other scholars in old English, Latin, and old German). The second book by Dr. Mohamed Bahjat Qubaisi, 'Understanding the Arabic Dialects' (Fiqh Al Lahajat Al Arabiah) (this book is in Arabic, but that should not be a problem for you.) All languages of the world originated from Arabic, not the other way around. I cannot elaborate too much here, but the enumeration of roots and derived words prove this. Arabic has more than 6 million derived words (Al-Khalil ibn Ahmad al-Farahidi and modern references) and more than 17,000 roots. The closest language to it is English, which has 600,000 words and between two to three thousand roots (Modern Oxford Dictionary). Arabic is an original language, not derived from others. This view is supported by many researchers including the German professor of Semitic languages and Arabic dialects, Werner Arnold, from the University of Heidelberg, and the Italian Professor Sabatino Moscati, who also confirmed that Arabic did not branch off from other languages. Arabic is the most eloquent of languages and is rich in vocabulary, as attested by all fair researchers. Thus, tribes like Ad and Thamud are called extinct Arabs, and their inscriptions have been found in Lihyanite, Thamudic, and Safaitic scripts, all derived from Classical Arabic, otherwise why would they be called Arabs if they did not speak Arabic or one of its dialects? The 'Arab al-Ariba' are the Qahtani Yemenis, and the 'Arab al-Musta'riba' are the Arabs who came to the Arabian Peninsula and mixed with its people and became Arabized. All these dialects are Arabic dialects, but the Quran was revealed in the clear, eloquent Arabic language that corrected the tongues of the Arabs. The reason Arabic words are found in all languages of the world is that it is the origin, and when the descendants of Adam spread across the earth, they changed the mother language (Arabic), and some Arabic words remained in their dialects. Take for example the words that describe parents (Abi “baba”/ Omi “mama”-Arabic-. PAPA / MOM or MAMA English and other languages. APPA / Amma - Korean, Chinese, etc.). Also, almost all languages alphabet starts with (A, B) Why? The Quran is the clear Arabic language that standardized the various Arab dialects. Thus, the word 'Arabic' does not mean the language of the Arabs but means 'a clear, original, distinct tongue without defect or deficiency.' So, as you mentioned in your video, when the Quran says, “Quran revealed in clear Arabic”, it does not mean it was revealed in the language of the Arabs, it means that this is Quran revealed in a clear, original, distinct tongue without defect or deficiency. Ibn Faris and Al-Suyuti (Muslim scholars) agree that the Arabic letters are divinely ordained as Adam was taught. Hence, in light of the above the Quran is 100% Arabic. I know this is new to you and may shock you... Do more research. I ask Allah to guide you to the straight path. Peace be onto you.

As the great medical minds of his time he lectured in seven languages surgery, as a guest lecturer in many top universities throughout the world. He said that no doubt the Quran is its own language which is Quranic. Absolutely the Quran has drawn from many languages, predominantly Arabic of course. What is unique is the words chosen, specifically drawn with its previous meanings and etymology and clearly strategically placed, making it also more malleable to any human mind but making it also beyond the capability of a common uneducated, unlettered desert dweller. @@AereForst I do understand how languages work. I also happen to be a native Arabic speaker. I’m an ex-Muslim who left Islam and became an atheist after studying Islam, all other religions as well as deism for more than 30 years. The Quran claims to be revealed in clear Arabic. It claims to be the true word of God. Why would an almighty God, mix a J concept of hell, with a Greek concept of the devil with a Persian concept of heaven. The Quran does not just borrow the name, but the description of each of these entities. For example, the Persian Paradise has females for ssss pleasures and rivers of milk and wine just like the Islamic heaven. Islamic Hell is no different than Ge Hennum after Christians mixed it with pagan European hells. What an amazing coincidence: the J/C were right about hell, the Greeks were right about the devil, and the Persians were right about heaven, Don’t get me started about the origin of the six days of creation, the creation of Adam from mud or the great flood story.

@@doyouknoworjustbelieve6694 Islam is not a new religion. It is the oldest religion. The realities of Heaven and Hell have been revealed to all prophets through time. If you see residual fragments in other systems or religions, it only indicates the traces of prophetic knowledge. That’s like saying that Islam borrowed the concept of a creator God from the Vedic Brahma rather it is that that notion of a creator God in that system of knowledge has its genesis in the same prophetic tradition. You did not bring some grand exposé. We have answers for all of these questions. Go back to the drawing board, “ex-Muslim”.

Jesus clearly states in the same passage that "we are one", like 'him and the Father are one". Now look me in the eye and tell me with a straight face that "you and me" are the same person..... Stop lying against Jesus peace be upon him.

All religions are man made. 3/4 of the stories Quran are edited copies from Biblical myths and legends, which were made up by writers of the books that formed the Bible, or copied from ancient Babylonian, Greek, Canaanite and Egyptian myths. To name a few B and Q myths that are copied from ancient nearby civilizations: The six days of creation, creation of Adam from dust/ mud, the great flood, Abraham, Moses, the exodus, virgin birth, resurrection, miracles, the devil, angels, belief in magic, heaven and hell etc etc. The similarities do not support the common divine origin, because these stories contradict science and proven history through archeology and comparative parallel human history. Also Biblical and Quranic morality is also focused on supremacy, exclusion, land annexation in the name of the divine, enslavement of women as sex slave, acceptance of slavery and belief in superstition, non existent beings, magic and the power of prayers.. Also a childish belief in eternal heaven and hell with various degrees of bodily pleasures or sadistic torture for ever and ever and ever…….

It is funny, you sound like drowning man holding to a straw. Names don't translate. They just names. When the Quran was revealed to Mohammed peace and blessing be up on him, the Arabs fought Mohammed but they never questioned the eloquently of Quran. They never say we don't understand the Quran. As matter of fact the Quran challenged them come up with something like it. They were the master of Arabic, they could not. This challenge still on until today. Come on come up with something like the Quran, Try your AI see if it can come up with something like the Quran.

Because a story is told in many cultures, it attests to authenticity not that it was copied. Your logic, you find an I phone and say ooh yea, it created itself or it was created from nothing.l Same logic, you observe this trillion times more complex universe and you say ooh yea, it has existed foreever, it created itself, chance, you will arrogantly deny there must be a creator the cause that is not caused other wise you will fall into infinite regression. contradicts science, what do you think science is, its a tool, and as you are very well aware, you cant use the same tool for all jobs. Reason why science struggles with human conscience and still cant figure out where its located. You are 100% liar, Quranic Morality is based on fairness and justice. That is why you see every culture and creed in white around the Kaaba, dressed equally worshiping equally. To further proof your blatant lies, we can all read Prophet Mohamed's PBUP last sermon, or any of his sermons, epitome of equality and fairness. The system of servitude in Islam is nothing like slavery. The word slavery brings to mind force, whips, subjugation of one race by another. None of that is present in the Islamic servitude system, of taking enemy warriors as servants, they must eat like master and dress like the master can practice whatever they want. Sex slave is western concept of locking women in basement like the guy in Ohio. Women enemy fighters combatants that came with the enemy army who are captured are put to work, if they want o sleep with their master and he finds them attractive, its allowed. Dude Islam is light years ahead of any other system on earth when it comes to majority of the aspects of humanly life, especially in family and social justice. Muslims are #1 givers of charity to the poor, you prolly think poor people are a curse and should not be fed. Look at all these men in jails, cant produce nothing, cant raise their kids cant be with their wives, who dream this satanic system up. In Islam you get punished whipped, etc then you go back to your family house job. In Islam if you steal out of hunger you cant be punished because society failed you. You are lazy xenophobic a man who is led by his desires, no self control or an ounce of original thought, just regurgitating Ancient Islamophobic nonsense, all the points you made have been utterly falsified but yet you come here arrogantly bad mouthing the greatest way of life from the creator himself. All these signs in the Quran are nothing to you because Satan himself is your eyes and ears. Still with the multitudes of arrogant haters of Islam like you, its flourishing gaining momentum world wide. Every country on earth Islam is the fastest growing religion, 1 out of 4 people on earth is a Muslim, and they all look at you and pray Allah guide you to his path before its too late. We will all die, guaranteed, you will taste death, if you are so clever, live forever. You cant you have no control, just woke up one day on a 3rd rock from the sun, rotating in celestial orbit, perfect harmony, zero control except minute things like eating walking talking etc, everything else is out of your control, death is waiting for all of us. If you say there is nothing after death maybe, but we lose nothing. If day of Judgment is real, we win, either case we are covered plus we got to live a molar upright righteous lives. You are not covered, your insurance policy expired and I urge you to renew it with The Shahada, like millions of people world wide. or dont, your choice, but for the sake of Humanity, respect others differences and choices. Islam is so advanced, it says Surah Kafirun 6 "For you is your religion, and for me is my religion" Unlike the designers of Human rights who took it upon themself s to say the whole world must adopt this, Islam is far superior it says this is the straight path, no compulsion to follow it your choice. I blame your parents for with holding proper etiquette, and depriving you of the ability to discern fact from fiction. Fact no system comes close to the modesty humanity, fairness and beauty of Islam. 1 mans testimony is the same as 2 womens in Islam. You prolly say look Islam is so unfair, sexist, thats because you dont know, you read a book and took it as objective truth that God doesn't exist. This God you claim doesn't exist is the creator and he knows when women get pregnant 80% or higher loose memory thus weakening their testimony. God knows, you know zilch. And stop comparing Christianity with Islam, Muslims taught the queen of England to shower. Islam is a complete way of life the best way, Christianity is believe Jesus died for your sins, thats it. You just dont know what you are talking bout, Your logic is akin to saying Jefrey Dahmer had a way with the ladies. Btw you prolly walk around with dudu streaks in your underwear, lacking proper know on how to clean yourself after going to toilet. A man who has dudu in his pants is telling us how bad we are lol ooh the irony
