It's like saying to Muslims to destroy the holy mosque of the prophet. Mount sinai holds big importance to Muslims. That's where Moses spoke to God and said to the Israelites that our God is one. Ellohinu achad אלוהינו אחד and later prophet Muhammad brought this message for all humanity. Even structures outside religions are and were protected and never harmed by many caliphates for hundreds of years and you can even visit them today in Iraq Lebanon Egypt ext with the first of them being prophet Muhammad best friends ruling there. the fact that i had been visiting this places (except for the 12 pillars )time and time again as i live in Saudi Arabia, just amazes me how this historical sites that we see now is a remain of something huge that had happened in the past . for example that burnt look from mt. Sinai cud be a way of God showing us how holy He is to the point of leaving a mark that could be seen centuries later. which i saw even though i was standing far off the mountain.

This location for Mount Sinai is far more likely than being in what we call today the Sinai desert. There are two significant reasons: if Moses was a shepherd and he was tending Jethro's flock and he came to a mountain where God said he would be worshiped, referring to Mount Sinai it would have to be closed to Jethro's land. Everyone acknowledges where Midian was and is today and that is Saudi Arabia. There is no way that Moses would have taken sheep from Saudi Arabia into the Sinai desert it is way too far. Moreover, the children of Israel we're scared out of their wits and they needed a large body of uncross-able water to give them a sense of security from the Egyptians. what we call it today the Sinai desert was part of Egypt in those days. Escaping to this area would not have settled the nerves of the people. The only thing that would do that would be Crossing the Red Sea and putting a 5 to 10 Mile body of water between them and Egypt. These two facts taken together are so persuasive that there is no way anyone can logically conclude that what we call the Sinai Desert today could have been where the Jews traveled for 40 years.

144Donn very true. however i feel that there maybe some revisionist history thats been going on for centuries to hide these facts i wonder why? Could be that the original 'israel' may not have been located in what we nay call 'israel' today. Often when people migrate out of their lands, they tend to take their village names with them. ie. york, england to New york, Usa or sur, oman to sur (tyre), lebanon. lots of theories suggest that it may be between the regions of western saudi hijazi region going down to yemen. Taking into account the largest hebrew population being from these areas in history with the only jewish empire (himyar) to exist in these areas. An empire that once held areas known today as yemen, saudi, oman all the way to northern somalia/ ethiopia.

I've been there years ago while working in Saudi Arabia...it is called Jabal Al Musah; the mountain of Moses. I even go up into one of the altars made by the 12 tribes of Judah just like what is written in the Bible book of Exodus

I'm planning to view the Holy Mountain next week. Whats the best place to travel to, in order to get there. I was thinking to go Irael and travel from there. I realise Saudi Arabia requires a Visa. So would I need a visa if im coming from Isrsel, or better yet. Can I travel from israel to view Mount Sinai? Can I also climb Mount Sinai or is it still of limits? Please help guys, I'm not to sure.

@@0le9un the issue is tradition. The traditional location in the Sinai Peninsula was selected by constantine's mother in the 4th century AD. Thats the only reason it holds any sway. However, the location in Saudi Arabia is the only place with any evidence. It has markers around the base just like moses said to build. It has a man made rock outcrop covered in egyptian bull deities, specifically Apis and Hathor, and it has a darkened peak as if it was burned. When you break the rocks open they are tan inside. They are literally scorched black. The bible says that God decended on the mountain in flames like a furnace. This mountain has a giant lake bed and a rock 4stories tall that is split and shows signs of water errosion, it has an alter at the base of the mountain that contains ancient ash. It has 12 pillars... I mean...how much more do you need. The kicker is that until the 1900's everyone knew that ancient Midian was in Saudi Arabia. If you follow the Biblical account, then there is only one mountain on earth that fits the profile. That is Jabel Al Lawz.
