Is the RK ROYAL KLUDGE M75 Premium Worth It? Review

i bought the new version m75 during the holidays. i was originally interested in the cheaper old version, but exchanged several emails with RK support and i decided to get the pricier new version...plus they had the $30 coupon, so the price difference wasn't as great. they did indicate that south facing boards are coming out and will eventually replace the north facing boards. plus the switch options for the new version are definitely higher quality -- i got the gray model with pale green switches and love the sound out of the box.

What’s the material? Is it plastic or metal? I’ve been learning about keyboards and im leaking towards the hi75 or rainy 75 but I want a screen for some reason

quality n detailed content explained efficiently in quick time and straight to point. Also exactly the video I was looking for as I was confused by the difference in them. The older one from what you say seems to be the better deal, think ill go with that one

The blue keycaps are double shot. Notice how the white plastic is visible underneath. The white plastic is squeezed through the mold after the blue cap is "shot" to make the lettering. You should go research what double shot actually is. If it wasn't double shot, the entire keycap would be one color underneath and the white color would only be visible on the top because it was dye sub or pad printed.

@@getsmarthomeoffice Blue keyboard is double shot ABS where as the other keycap is double shot PBT.

Ones full double shot and ones partial double shot. That's how I've heard hiipyo mention it or others.

Thank you for this! I was debating between the two versions because the older model was a lot cheaper, but ultimately decided to go with the newer green one. I couldn't figure out what the difference was until I saw your video!

Is the case itself entirely white (or maybe off-white)? I want to get one of these and use other keycaps that I don't think would look good if the case itself is green (or any other color meant to match the stock keycaps on a given colorway).

Did they fix the issue with the Bluetooth not auto reconnecting and the battery issues. I wish theh would ditch the clips on this case and go for bolts so its easier to take apart.

Agree about clips, it's super hard to open the case. Can you give more details about blutooth and battery, so I can test this?

I wish it had screws or something and not clips...I want to go inside it but I hate messing with clips.

@getsmarthomeoffice Bluetooth won't auto reconnect when u switch to it or when the pc restarts. As for the battery, it's a QC issue where they're known to catch fire or pillow.

Thanks. I got the new one. I was wondering the difference since before I got it. I did add lube the Veridian switches and they do sound wayyy better. I can confirm they were lubed on the stem piece. But adding lube helped a little. They sound amazing with lube. As good and thocky as the Milky Yellows.

Couldn't find the new version for sale anywhere in my country 😢 So I bought the old one as my first mechanical keyboard. At least I like the lavender colorway a bit better

Really weird. I have south facing LEDs on mine with the 5-pin connections, but I also have the lilac keycaps and the red switches. Not too sure I'll bother opening it up to look at the foam, seems I have this strange mix of both versions of this board. Feels and sounds great though so happy with the one I have, I just find it really odd.

Wish I would've seen this video before I got the older white hot-swap silver model for $104.99 , when I could've gotten the newer marble grey veridian version for $89.99! I know I can order the newer and send one back, but I already accidentally ordered the H81, so I'm not trying to have all that money floating around. I might still do it bc, FOMO lol!

Yep, this is excessive functionality for people with one PC or Laptop. But all mechanical keyboards coming with this multi device connection options. But I hear you.

Well I really do enjoy having the battery life on the screen. That's all I ever care about it for or look at it for. I have Nuphy Air 75 V2 and I wish it had a screen. The colored RGB bar they use is stupid. Red yellow green. That's it. And I'm not convinced it's even accurate having battery life of 200hrs the difference between 30-80% is a lot of hours yet it's all yellow? Dumb. The display that says it has 69% or whatever is the way. This is the way.
