Talking about the dark fog, I was on Lighthouse today and brought a Sniper with me. It was completely impossible to see anything on the ground out from any elevated point. Twas just pitch black. To be honest I missed green Tarkov but the snow fixed a lot of problems produced by the awful lighting.

I build the FAL as a DMR with a panic switch for full auto. The long barrel has better MOA than most legit DMRs, plus silenced it's super quiet. Tip if you want to get a FAL with the ED dust cover and full durability from the flea: Add the filter of 95 and more durability and spam refresh. The shorty also spawns in weapons boxes. So sometimes ppl dont know what they have and list the whole thing for the cheapest FAL price.

Why? The fact that he's sniping, and will be firing at a distance makes the lower ergo less meaningful. Sure, if he was intending to use it as a CQB, ya bad choice. But as a sniper, lower ergos not bad. Most the time when sniping, you see your target long before they see you(obviously a good sniper rarely gets spotted), which gives plenty of time to crouch, or prone out, ADS and get a steady shot.@@Morty13378

been using the cqb version with 20 rounds mag. pretty good as a semi automatic and mid range shooter. the barter gun is the best bc the vitor rails are mega expensive on the FM

WillerZ showed people that if you just burst fire, as in having your gun on full auto and just letting out bursts of rounds, A short SA58 with no stock or grip can be controlled like it has no recoil. The way they made the recoil in 0.14 you can burst and cheat the system. Wiped factory 4 times in a row and killed tagilla twice in a row using the SA-58. Only use the full auto for mid to close and you'll be fine.

One of my biggest complaints with the new recoil system is that it highlights just how much muzzle flash there is. I would gladly run a loud build if there was a way to negate the muzzle flash, but unfortunately, suppressors still have that + silence + comparable recoil as the ergo penalty only really affects ADS

You guys can also try ASH from prapor 4 it's like 30 - 40k with barter items and also AP ammo is on trader and gun hits like sledgehammer. I really love powerful DMRs and after fal, my favorite bulid is ash

The ammo is a bit of a pain to get though. You get enough for 3 mags per reset and is selling out constantly

The FAL is one of my favorite rifles irl and as of this wipe, the SA-58 is now viable. Been running it as my primary gun all wipe and I think it's the most slept on gun in the whole game, I've literally never picked one up off a dead PMC, but have killed many with it. The whole selling point of the gun is the short barrel and the 50-rd drum; running anything longer than that or with a lesser magazine defies the whole use case of the build. You can really clean house with the shorty FAL in cqb settings, especially places like Factory, and the inside of the mall on Interchange. Obviously its recoil is more than an M4 or AK platform, but it's not even that bad, just slap a laser on it for point-fire and make sure your mouse hand is on point for controlling the recoil. For optics, I usually use an Eotech of some sort. For ammo, it's best to use M61 or M62 if available, but if not, FMJ works just fine. Do not use Ultra Nosler though, it's too weak to be viable. And just spray away! You should win most gunfights due to volume of fire alone, if nothing else. There's not much someone can do when receiving an unending onslaught of 308, even if you're not hitting em in the head, they're usually gonna be hurt BAD very quickly. When they stop firing and try to disappear behind cover, push them and keep spraying as they're reloading or trying to switch guns. I play solo, but I've killed many 2-mans and even a 3-man one time while using this beast. I keep at least 3 shorty SA-58s in my stash at all times so that I have no gear fear if I die and lose one, I have the peace of mind while in raid knowing I've got at least 3 more built ones waiting in my stash so it doesn't matter if I die. This helps me to play more aggressively and has gotten rid of my gear fear. Sick build, everyone should try it. I actually want to get into a gunfight where it's SA-58 vs SA-58, it will be so intense and epic, but it still hasn't happened to me yet, like I said, this gun is slept on!

Would also like to point out, its the largest mag that doesn't have any loading penalties on it. Like MP5 X-5 has a loading speed of +30%, p90 has a +75%, surefire 60 has a 20%, magpul d-60 has a 60%....so having none is pretty crazy.

Yeah, I've been running the FAL as my main gun this wipe, and recently I brought home a SPEAR with a Reap on it after a solid burst from just over 100m killed someone full-on sweatlord. I make heavy use of the magazine preset feature and I normally just have BCP and M80 alternating in my mags. Helps keep the cost down whilst still dealing well with armor. Sadly, after this video the prices are gonna skyrocket so I guess it's P90 from here on out. We'll see.

I use the one that costs 2 nixxors and one rat poison that comes with a suppressor and long barrel plus foregrip. I just sell the barrel and supressor buy the 16inch and a better supressor (yes bmd is better but its to gassy for my taste) plus sight comes to about 150k

Loved running this gun for this wipe. It brought back a lot of old memories and was somewhat reminiscent of how the juice cannon use to be. I ran the shorty loud build with a eotech-0. It felt great and was quick to whip around bc of the ergo. Definitely recommend unlocking m80 and running that.
