Hi john. If you detach the top 4 clips from the frame you will find that you don't have to push the frame anywhere near as hard to get it to set itself. Then you can clip it on before you put the rain cover on. All the best.

Looks alright that John. I've had a Khyam Highlander tent for years - they were the precursors to the quick pitch tents we see today. I might have to dig that one out. That one of yours looks decent and I like the size!

One of my friends has had one a couple of years and it gets used regularly in Wales, he loves it. So I got one, then another friend got one and did the NC500 with his in terrible weather. Let me know how you get on with it.

i've had this for 2 years, it weighs 4.5kg not 3.8, with the ground sheet and porch poles it comes to a whopping 6kg. The pack size is huge and floods my bike,like carrying a body across the seat .It's a good tent as long as you take it to the campsite in a truck

I think it's a nice tent John, Perhaps a little bit on the bulky size and maybe not the strongest as the poles don't cross like the do on geodesic type mountain tents but for the average moto camper this should serve you very well.

I have also bought the extra guy rope kit to help with the wind. The one time I camped in a real storm was in a geodesic tent and it coped really well, so I know what you mean.

Lomo throw over panniers and tank bag from the Himalayan. I have fitted a back rest to rest the tent against on the pillion seat. I will do a video.

For me, the Vango Omega 350 is king. Slightly heavier than this one but packs down a lot smaller (fits in topbox)

Hi not sure if there is the perfect motorcycle tent i have the same tent, i found it a bit to big to carry on the himmy, I've ordered a naturehike star river 2 tent it's a bit smaller pack I'll have to see if it's practical, some good reviews on line, I've got 3 tents to choose from depending on where I'm going to camp take care and ride safe 👍

I think that you are right about the perfect tent, I have 3 tents now and two tarps, you cannot have enough lol. I think Naturehike tents look a good option.
