Is The Suzuki Swift Fuel Efficient?

So here's a real world test on the efficiency of the Suzuki Swift. Often, the car consumes a lot of fuel in urban environments, especially when the air conditioner is on.
On highway driving it is actually very efficient but only when you average below a 100km/h.

Awesome comparison. I traveled N1 CPT - JHB over 8 times in 2023 and 6 times I averaged 18.3 km/l or 5.4l/100km driving 128km/lon average/max and 2 times I averaged 20.3km/l or 4.9l/100km driving 110km/h on average/max. So fuel efficiency depends on your driving, and we will all have different driving styles and efficiency as we don't accelerate and shift gears the same...

Hi. Excellent vid, im sure it took time and fuel to make this vid to keep people informed. Thank you for the effort. I have this car, its still has very low mileage. The car runs well, its decently light on fuel unless you run the aircon as mentioned in the vid. If you are within the budget of this car then its obvious you just need a daily commuter. I had to accept the same and settle. Turns out the car is good, has a good engine build aswel. 1.2 16v twincam, so its got good power even with 4 passengers(with the aircon off). And if you can afford it then you can get a nice body kit called "attitude pack" which is from 13k to 20k depending on what you want. The boot spoiler is about 3.5k and the car comes with 14inch steelies and wheelcaps, which will be about 6 to 8k to change it to 14inch Aline mags, or about 12 to 15k to get 15inch mags with new tires. Theres alot of technical stuff to know about this car. Best to google and youtube

That is not a real test bro, it's just a normal daily commute. Get on the freeway, drive 120km for about 100km, and then you can come to the conclusion

Still a good indication of how the car consumes fuel, because the number are very immediate especially the range…but I see what you mean.

As a Swift owner I believe the car is good in terms of fuel consumption until you hit the freeway traveling around 120km/h drops the efficiency.

From the numbers I think we can safely say it is very efficient and by the way let's say you only had 1 bar how much would you fill up to make it full tank?

Interesting. I do mostly drive High way in terms of range but time wise I sit in more traffic (peak jhb traffic) I get about 21.5 - 22.5 generally.

what the engine? 1.2 ? 1.4 ? or 1.6 ? doesit has turbo? is it a 4 cylinder or 3 cylinder?

..cool vid, ol' chap.. ..but your measuring method is very flawed.. fuel consumption has nothing to do with time, not sure why you had to show time took for the test.. you didnt reset the consumption reading at start of the test, you didnt consider travelling distance on the "urban test", and by your time lapse montage, you did too much urban driving in the "extra urbanmhighway" test.. ..for measurements, all readings must be reset at start.. you do the urban test, take measurements, theen reset, and start highway test and take measurements... 😉😉 ..happy new year, themba!...
